Better than Immaculate
28 May 2024
When two movies with almost identical stories are released within a couple of months, it's hard not to compare them. Nell Tiger Free makes the difference. She is actually an outstanding actress compared to the overhyped Sydney Sweeney, and I also didn't like the ending of Immaculate. The ending here is great and promise us the ultimate fight between good and evil. If the sequal can live up to that, it's gonna be one hell of a joy to watch. I loved Nell in The Servant and her performance in The First Omen is even better. I think she is going to have a brilliant career. All in all this was a great prequal and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Civil War (2024)

Social media is a warzone
24 May 2024
This one is tough to rate. I was expecting a completly different movie and I have been wanting to watch this after I saw the trailer for the first time. The trailer gave me the impression that this would be an intense non-stop action-thriller, but it's not. Instead you get a very realistic and honest movie about classic warjournalism that doesn't pick sides. It's a contrast till todays society where people are picking sides in almost everything. All over the western world we see the right side fight the left side and vice-versa. If you try to reason with both by staying in the middle you'll often be told, that you are against the right side or left side, depending who you are talking to. It's a crazy world today and we need to accept that the world isn't black and white, but it's full of nuances and peace of mind for those who accept it. Social media is a warzone.

I'm devided
24 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a bit devided about this movie. On one hand the movie has a simple premise and no depht, on the other hand it was better than I expected.

The story is about a scientist, JLO, who takes on the responsibillty to bring back a rogue AI, which has been responsible for the death of thee million humans and wants to destroy all of humanity before humanity destroys itself and everyother living organism on the planet. A story we have heard a hundred times before. A simple premise. The problem is that the script doesn't always fit the character. It's not a clever script, and therefor Atlas doesn't seem like a smart scientist. The movie also tries to be funny, at times it is, but most times it's not. The emotional connection to the movie is also not there, even though it tries to give you that emotional ending. But I liked the voice of Smith, it's calm and soothing, I could listen to it all day, like meditation.

What happend to reality?
17 May 2024
There is no way this movie is a 7,7. There is absolutely nothing in this movie that can justify the rating. I had to stop watching it halfway through because it became so cringe.

The narrative of this movie is pointless. Zendaya is supposed to be so sexy, but she is not. She is not even likeable. So, when two guys nobody cares about (not great actors either) are competing against eachother because of her, it becomes absolutely ridiculous. Even the tennismatches were poorly executed. It looked like they played airtennis.

If you want to watch a movie about tennis, with a truly seductive leadactress, go watch "Match Point" with Scarlett Johanson. She is a million times better than Zendaya. But maybe the difference between the movies mirrors the difference in society. Zendayas flat and shallow character vs. Johansons more put together and more complex character.

I don't know why I'm giving it 2. Maybe because I'm giving the second half of the movie the benefit of doubt.

Just another story in every womans life
14 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It didn't take me long to figure out what was going on. In fact, I guessed everything correctly. I knew that the mentioned side effects regarding her medication were a diversionary tactic, and I knew the house wasn't haunted. Yes, I knew someone lived behind the walls, and I also knew who it was. The reason I knew is because it's all been done a hundred times before. The only difference between this one and all the others is the film's feminist premise. A woman escaping from a manipulative man falls for a new manipulative man. Just a regular story in a regular woman's life, because all men are dangerous, right? But thankfully she survived and both men died, so women triumphed a little. I'm curious to see where she moves next and who she meets there. Let's have another round of good feminists and bad men.

3/10 because I watched it till the end.

Pointless
11 May 2024
And the award for the most pointless movie of the year goes to.... Lazareth.

It's been a while since I last saw a movie with Ashley Judd, but the ones I've seen have been excellent. Ashley is a good actress, so I had an idea that this film might be good, but unfortunately, I was wrong. A more insignificant film is hard to find. We've heard the story before, and we've seen it executed much better. Both the plot and the characters lack depth in this film. There are no likable characters, so you can't really sympathize with them. When something tragic happens, you just think "oh well.." and finally it's over.

Don't bother
8 May 2024
This movie is based on a novel by Erling Jepsen. It's about a woman who goes to war disguised as a man in order to protect her "stupid" son.

Trine Dyrholm is a wonderful actress and she has won several prices through her acting career, but she is not convincing in this role, because she doesn't look like a man and she doesn't even try to look like a man, yet the germans believes she is a man. This works in the novel but not on the screen. In the novel it's an absurdity and a funny part of the story. In the movie it tries to be a dramatic part of the story, but it's simply not believable enough.

This movie failed.

Under average crimethriller
5 May 2024
Once again, the lead actors in the movie have been replaced with some new ones. Rose has become more hardcore and less charming. Not sure if it's part of wokeism.

The movie contains a completely irrelevant scene where a janitor harasses Rose and she practically rips his balls off. The scene has nothing to do with anything.

This movie is the worst in the Department Q series. I miss more twists and surprises, and I miss more investigative work in the film. If this is the standard for the upcoming Department Q films, then I won't be looking forward to the next ones in the series.

"Fasandræberne" is still the best Department Q film.

I demand a sequal
24 April 2024
This film has some of the coolest, wildest, and most brutal fightscenes I've seen in a long time. Better than John Wick in my opinion. Not since the legendary Indonesian Raid films with Iko Uwais in the lead and Gareth Evans behind the camera has there been anything that comes close to being as good. Dev Patel goes crazy as Monkeyman in this adrenaline-filled action thriller as the bloodthirsty avenger he is. Not only does he play the lead role, but he's also the director of the film. I really hope he will make a sequel. I like the universe he has created, which is a bit mysterious and exciting for us in the West, who don't know much about Indian culture and spirituality.

I feel inspired
28 March 2024
What a beautiful, touching, and inspiring film about compassion and unity. It's exactly what we need in these dark times, where we're becoming more and more polarized. This story shows what we as humans can achieve when we hold onto each other and help one another. It also demonstrates that by showing love, care, and empathy towards others, we can learn to love ourselves.

I've given the film the highest rating because I just adore these kinds of movies. Films that make the world a better place, even if it's just for an hour. But I truly hope that a film like this can make us reflect on how we treat each other in these digital times, where anonymity and distance from each other can sometimes cause us to turn against each other in ways we wouldn't have done before.

Let's all strive for something greater than ourselves. Let's strive for love, solidarity, and compassion.

I still love this show.
13 March 2024
I have watched a lot of tv-shows and 24 is still one of the few shows that remains original. Over the past two weeks I rewatched the whole franchise. There is nothing to compare it to. 24 is probably the best action series ever made and Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer is probably one of the best matches in any tv-show. I hope that someday the producers behind this, will make another season or at least a movie. I want to know what happened Jack!

I loved this series and it was something my granddad and I had in common, back in the days. We were always looking forward to the next episode and the next.

What a banger!
29 February 2024
A 10 rating is probably a bit overrated, but this movie caught me by surprise. I went in to this movie without knowing anything about. I just looked at the cover and the title, and thought it would be a decent thursday night b-action movie. But it really isn't, it's actually a really, really well made action movie, with good actors and decent acting, great cinematography and lot's of awesome action. I especially like the stillscenes of the explosions, it's like an art in it selfs. This is one of those actionmovies I would watch more than once or twice. Therefore I can only recommend it to all the actionlovers out there...

The Hunt (2012)
10/10
A sociological and psychological masterpiece
4 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The sociological and psychological points in the movie reflect some truths about human behavior and societal structures. There are no evil people in this film, only quite ordinary human actions.

The Hunt (Jagten) delves into the Hans Christian Andersen saying "A feather becomes five hens," illustrating how lies and gossip can escalate. Starting with an innocent lie from Klara, it snowballs through pressure from authority figures and becomes a huge falsehood involving more victims and a cellar. The film asks us to reflect on embellishing stories and the consequences for those involved.

It's a sociological masterpiece, depicting how stigmatization can lead to social exclusion and even violence, showcasing how communities unite against a common "enemy." Additionally, it touches on how once someone is stigmatized like Lucas, they remain under suspicion, with people often believing serious lies as a safety measure. Thats why it ends like it does!

Psychologically, it's brilliant in portraying how a victim of stigmatization isolates themselves but can eventually rebel against unfair treatment.

The most frightening thing is that this can happen to anyone, and it doesn't have to be only children who lie. As a man in a female-dominated workplace, one can quickly be accused of anything if one of them becomes angry with you. It can have serious consequences for the man, and he has no opportunity to defend himself. Or it could be one parent, in the midst of a nasty divorce, accusing the other of mistreating the child, even if it's not true. These things happens all the time!

It's a 10/10!

The Bear (2022– )

9 stars for The Bear
22 December 2023
I wouldn't describe this series as a dramedy. I see it more as a drama with occasional humorous moments.

The series tells the story of a former top chef who takes over his deceased brother's kitchen. We get an insight into how the work in a kitchen can be chaotic one moment and uplifting the next. We follow the transformation from a rather mediocre restaurant to one that has ambitions about recieving a Michelin star. We also witness how the chefs evolve for better or worse.

The series is an excellent portrayal of how people on one hand strive for change and on the other fear those changes.

At the same time, on behalf of my countrymen from Noma, I'm proud that the series celebrates Danish cuisine and design.

9/10.

Avoid the knife, keep your life..
21 December 2023
How can anyone not love this film? I know it's not as scary as other movies in the same genre, but it's really funny. The film is full of funny oneliners and I love the way it makes fun of the wokeculture and portrays the '80s as a simpler time when people lived freely without being burdened by politically correct social norms.

At the same time, the film uses a bunch of cool movie references that many teenagers today might not even notice.

I love movies that carry this refreshing '80s undertone. The energy, set design, soundtracks, and the acting, especially from the lead actor, elevate this film to a solid rating of 7/10.

Why the bad reviews?
21 December 2023
I'm not sure if the reviewers watched the same movie as me. I found this film packed with cool stunts and action sequences. I got both John Wick and The Raid vibes while watching it. Some scenes even reminded me of something out of GTA V.

Even though there wasn't much plot in the movie and no dialogues whatsoever, I think the film is carried forward by Joel Kinnaman's excellent acting. Not many big action stars could pull off the same.

All in all, I found it an entertaining and excellent action film. Just switch of your brain and enjoy it. I'm probably going to watch it again. I'll rate it 8/10.

The Bridge (2011–2018)

Simply the best
16 December 2023
Ever since I watched the first season of The Bridge and the The Killing (Forbrydelsen, original version), I've always compared these shows with everyother police-dramas out there. These two shows are the best of them all. They are what I consider flawless in terms of directing, casting, acting script, characterbuilding, twists and settings.

The chemistry between Sofia Helin (Saga Norén) and Kim bodnia (Martin Rohde) in the first two seasons is out of this world. One would think that such chemistry would be hard to recreate, but when they introduced Thure Lindhardt (Henrik Sabroe) to the show in season 3 they did it again. It was a different kind of chemistry, but just as good. Maybe these three actors carries the show, but the rest of the cast are also flawless.

The stories in all three season are clever, compelling, relatable and they come with some great twists and turns that will surprise you.

Watch it if you want to watch some of the best that television have ever created.

To long..
11 December 2023
Killers of the Flower Moon is not even close to be the best movie of the year as the trailer says. It's only held up by being somewhat original, because it focuses on an often forgotten or overlooked part og american history, a great cast and really good acting. I don't think this is Leos best performance, but it's probably in his top 5. Again, the movie doesn't deliever what the trailer promis.

For a 3+ hour long movie the plot is very thin. There are no sidestories, no character development and no surprising twists in the story, which means your gonna have a lot of patience if you want to see the end of it. But go watch it if you appreciate good acting.

Cry or laugh
20 November 2023
First of all this is not a thriller. It may have a thrillerplot, but the tension is more similar to a christmascaroll. It's not even a drama. It's like watching a show with identityproblems. It doesn't know what it is.

The same goes for the plot. I'm 4 episodes in and I still don't know what it's really about. The problem is, that I'm not really interested in knowing it. The show doesn't offer any exciting dialogues. They talk like they read from a book. This will probably not have any influence on the non-danish speaking viewers, but for danes It seems cold, odd anf stiff which affects the acting in a bad way. I can't recommend it to anyone.

Not great
18 October 2023
This was terrible and Megan Fox is not what she used to be. She still has a great figure but her face looks as bad as the CGI in this movie. Fake and full of plastic. If they wanted a hot and sexy frontwoman, which they obviously did, they could have done better. I don't know what happend to this crew, did they just don't care about the production? This is very, very bad on all accounts although there were some funny moments, but not enough to save this movie. I've seen pc-games with better CGI than this. At some point It looked like a cartoon. I hope this franchise will go down with the ship!

An awesome reinvention of the Saw franchise!
9 October 2023
Yes! Yes! Yes! They finally did it! The best Saw movie since the very beginning of the franchise. John Kramer is back, not for retribution, but to awaken the bad guys and gals, anf this time you will be rooting for Kramer and his protegé, Amanda while ask some ruthless and heartless conmen to make their choice: live or die?! This time his moralcodex is excactly where it's supposed to be.

For the first time since the original I feel that the franchise is back on track, and I'm hoping that they will continue on this track. The ending of Saw X gives us hope for arleast one more installment. I want more from this Saw crew.

Best worst film ever!
5 October 2023
This is absolutely without a doubt the best worst film I have seen in my entire life. So powerful, heartbreaking and important. The world needs more Timotees. A lot more!

This is the kind of movie no one wants to watch, but has to watch to understand whats going on in the world of human traficking. The fact that it's inspired by a true story makes it so much scarier. Human traficking and slavery happens more often than we think and would like to know. After watching this movie you will feel inspired to do something! You want the world to change and you want to take part in that change. We need to take action now.

A beef served well done!
28 September 2023
If you are looking for a unique, fun and thrilling ride with some great twists and turns, you've found it. It simply can't get much better than this.

The first episode and the last 10-15 mins og episode 9 is some of the best I have ever seen in any show, and what comes in between and after are over average.

Everything from the writing, the storytelling, the cast, the acting, the camerawork and the settings is perfectly put together and served well done for the Beef-lovers. If you are vegetarian you'd probably also love it. So don't miss it!

Despite the twists and turns, I had a pretty good idea how this season would end. I'm not sure they should make a season 2. I have no idea how they would be able to continue the story.

Great movie
13 September 2023
A very good horror movie is nowadays a seldom thing. But Talk To Me is actually great. I was entertained from start to finish. Although there are almost none jumpscares you'll be on the edge of your seat, wanting to see what happens next. The movie offers a new, original and refreshing style to the genre. It is an intense and a mysterious movie and the acting is on point. Some of the scenes are surreal, but these youngsters has a bright future in their acting careers. I honestly believe that Talk To Me could have been a bit longer. I hope they will make a second part, cause I will definitly watch that.

The Boogeyman (I) (2023)

Actually scary
29 August 2023
I don't care about what other people say about this movie. Yes it's generic and it doesn't bring anything new to the genre. But it's the best of the Boogeyman-films so far, even if it's generic. Lately I've watched a lot of horror-movies, some generic and some original. But this one had an edge. It was pretty dark and the mood kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. Yes all the cliches are there, but it actually works in this one. Are cliches normally not what makes a good horrormovie? I don't think most of the original horrormovies are scary at all.. so why ask for originality, when you can have a solid horrormovie full of cliches..
