Mubing (2023)
Moving: It's Way More Than Your Average Superhero Show
Once you start watching "Moving," you'll find it impossible to stop until the final credits roll. It's seriously that good. I had no clue it was based on a comic book series - might be because I wasn't really into KDramas before this. But wow, this show opened my eyes to what I've been missing!
"Moving" stands out as one of the premier superhero dramas of 2023. Each main character is intricately developed, with a compelling backstory that fosters a deep emotional connection with the audience. What's really cool about this show is how it makes superheroes feel like everyday people - they've got their vulnerabilities and are just trying to fit into the world.
He action sequences are nothing short of spectacular, with some scenes so expertly choreographed they'll leave you with goosebumps. It ranks alongside the very best in the Superhero genre. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. "Moving" is truly a must-watch experience.
Past Lives (2023)
Among the Best of 2023 - Past Lives Will Leave You Wanting For More
Oftentimes, the best movies leave you wanting for more. Past Lives does just that. At the end, you're left wondered what if things didn't turn out the way it did. What if they tried harder.
It's a story about two childhood friends, each living at the other end of the world, connected with memories. When they meet, sparks fly, words fail and eyes speak.
Featuring actors Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, and John Magaro, this poignant romantic drama will make you think hard about the choices you make in life. And how they eventually shape your destiny.
Past Lives is easily one of the best movies of 2023. You don't want to miss it.
The Bear (2022)
Insanely Good - You Do Not Want to Miss this!
There are some TV shows that are good, some that are great, and then there are those that leave you in awe. Steve Jobs once coined the term "Insane Good" for this type of experience, and that's exactly how I felt after watching the second season of The Bear. The show is truly outstanding, with exceptional performances, intense moments, and beautiful interactions between characters that keep you engaged from start to finish. The final conversation between Claire and Carmen was especially powerful, giving me goosebumps. If you enjoyed the first season, you would fall in love with the second. I highly recommend watching it!
Normal People (2020)
Passionate
I was so captivated by the trailer that it took me just eight hours to complete the series. This beautiful adaptation of Sally Rooney's best selling book, Normal People, is basically an intense romantic story about an complicated relationship between two individuals on the opposite side of social spectrum.
The chemistry between the lead actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal is mesmerising. They lived and breathed their characters. Honestly, I haven't seen a show this good in a while and I doubt I'll find something better in near future.
This is definitely one of the best shows of 2020. Paul and Daisy are superstars in the making.
Diego Maradona (2019)
Diego and Maradona
'The price was just too high'. Diego Maradona, labelled the legend, god, hero and cheat in his lifetime -- is a man after all. The brain behind Senna and Amy -- Asif Kapadia's portrayal of a footballing genius' fall from grace, looks authentic and honest. Diego, for all his craft on the pitch, couldn't control his life off it. The Argentinian created an image, separate from his own, to deal with attention of the world. That part, eventually, became dominant, causing his downfall. Kapadia stitched together several unseen footage to show Diego's life exceptionally well. This is a must-watch.
