The 1% Club Australia (2023)
Tedious
The concept of this show isn't bad but this version of it is terrible (as opposed to the UK one with Lee Mack). Jim Jeffries is painfully unfunny and uncouth and most of the show is just inane chit-chat between him and the contestants. The only interesting part is the questions themselves but after watching a few shows even they are becoming a little too formulaic. Add to all that the slow drawn-out 'suspense' of finding out how many people got the latest question right. I record this hour long show now so I can fast forward through all the tedious & boring bits to get to the questions - it takes less than 10 minutes to watch that way.
Would I Lie to You? (2022)
Why?
Another poor excuse for entertainment by channel 10. I'm guessing the success of the British version along with the use of 'talent' already contracted to ch10 (i.e. Cheap to produce) looked appealing to them. The problem is, as others have mentioned, that the hosts and most of the guests of this version have none of the wit or comedy talent of Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell. This show is a poor imitation of a show that didn't need imitating.
Wild Australians (2020)
Grim
I only watched the 'desert' episode of this series. There is some amazing camera work, but virtually everything you see is then attacked and devoured by something else, right down to the gorgeous budgerigars and their eggs nesting in a tree hollow. Sure, that's life, but nature is not all death all the time! Watching this left me utterly depressed.
The Cheap Seats (2021)
Oh dear.
I was raised to follow the tenet "If you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all." Therefore I will say nothing about this show.....
Spicks and Specks: Episode #5.7 (2009)
Don't trust Spicks and Specks for your info!
This is a typically enjoyable episode, however there is a disappointing error during one of the segments where they state that Anthony Kiedis (of Red Hot Chilli Peppers) appeared on sitcom Married With Children! The actor in this role is actually Phil Buckman - who does bear an uncanny resemblance to Kiedis; however, the most simple attempt at research would have told the Spicks & Specks team that their assertion was incorrect.
Judge Judy: Taco Wedding Falls Flat!/Runaway Shopping Cart! (2020)
Judge Judy at her biased best
Judge Judy must have got out of the wrong side of her bed for the first of these cases. She was clearly against the defendant (who should have been the plaintiff in my view!) from the word go. Perhaps her ratings were low at the time & she thought being prejudiced & generally even more abrasive than normal would spice things up.....
Spicks and Specks: Episode #2.8 (2006)
Great episode
Great episode, which ends with a very funny clip from 'Skippy' days (complete with a Skippy the kangaroo drum solo).
Spicks and Specks: Episode #5.3 (2009)
If you like hearing Georgie Parker squeal
A typical Spicks n Specks episode, with probably a few less laughs than usual. Georgie Parker is a little too hyper, frequently squealing & generally acting overly excited at every answer &/or point, which became rather annoying rather quickly. Too many champers backstage perhaps?
Married with Children: Enemies (1996)
Disappointing
As frankfob previously said, this episode was a poor effort by the producers of MWC to (hopefully) create a spinoff series, although in fact there were 3 equally abysmal efforts by them to do so. (The one not mentioned by frankfob 'starred' Matt LeBlanc & Joseph Bologna, and was just as bad as the others). I'm still at a loss to understand why they were so desperate to create another hit show when they already had a perfectly good one on their hands......
