Just amazing
9 January 2022
One of the best miniseries I've seen. Im in the UK and whilst I know about the opiod crisis going on i had NO idea the corruption and greed that caused it all and how it affected every single type of person. This is a must see!!!

Descent into madness
7 January 2022
This was more or a less an unbearable watch. Was really hard to watch i have to be honest. However, it was raw. My jaw is aching from the tension I've held throughout this film, I felt sick and dizzy at points due to the camera angles. However, thats exactly what the director wanted. Its a film about a normal person having a complete mental break. You almost experience it with him. That's how the film makes you feel. The main actor is absolutely amazing in it, and It has made me think about that person you cross the street to avoid.... utterly bleak film but I think it addresses a huge issue.

Could have been great
11 December 2021
This film is entertaining, and will make you teary towards the end as it definitely becomes emotional and they do it well. Sandra bullock is amazing in this. However, there were a few things that to me personally just seemed abit lazy. Were expected to believe Katie is 25 if my maths are correct, however she looks like a teenager still in school which is abit confusing. Also, if she is 25 (which she must be..) why when she became an adult did she not reach out to Ruth her self? I also guessed the twist within the first 10 minutes, it has been done before. I also feel like the sheriffs son went from zero to 100 very quickly, it didn't seem very believable he would do what he did. Overall, it was a good movie but too many plot holes and lazy writing to give more than a 6.

Not what the trailer makes out.
8 August 2021
I thought this was going to be a gore fest. It isnt. You can tell its low budget (which I don't normally mind) because it never shows the actual 'gory' bits. Its just cringey dialogue, really bad acting and pointless conversation. Avoid.

True story
5 June 2021
So I googled the true story after watching this as I thought for sure they must have dramatised it but its actually all true! I absolutely agree with the other reviews that it does feel like.. a TV movie the way its filmed (for UK people kinda felt like a channel 5 movie) however, that HONESTLY didn't take away from the story at all. Completely gripping, brutal but honest. Really good film.

Not for me.
16 May 2021
Honestly I just didn't like this movie at all. It was extremely cheesy and some of the acting from the teenagers especially was questionable to say the least. I felt like I was watching a comedy most of the time not a horror/thriller. It was a slog.

I liked it
16 May 2021
I'll start by saying I havent read the book, I didnt even know what it was about so I went in with an open mind. Very well casted and the acting was great, lots of twists and felt like a good old fashioned mystery/thriller!

Theres no need for the 1 star ratings!
12 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Okay I seem to find this what alot of sci fi films, people are SO harsh with their ratings! I honestly really enjoyed this film and whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I honestly can't believe the one stars. Im not a scientist or an astronaut so honestly I just sat and enjoyed the film without poking holes in every scene, as I dont claim to know what goes on in space. Yes, she drops the oxygen, and I did find it disappointing we never found out why he was actually up there in the first place - for me personally it didn't completely ruin the film.

Worth a watch
30 April 2021
Honestly I was pleasantly surprised at how food this movie was. The special effects were genuinely really really good. There were a lot of moments where I was biting my nails and saying noooo at the tv! The only criticism I can give is that script.. it isnt the best. Alot of the dialogue is abit cringe, or atleast not really what you would say during what you think is the last 24 hours alive. Overall tho a good film.

Beautiful
21 April 2021
This is a very human film. Now dont get me wrong, there were parts I felt was slightly.. I dont know, hippy, but it really didn't take from the film. What I found the most beautiful part, is the change in his eyes at the end of the film. His eyes at the beginning had no life, there's a sparkle by the end.

Beautiful film
6 April 2021
Everything about this film was beautiful, from the scenery to the acting to the message it portrayed. Absolutely amazingly well acted (I wouldn't expect nothing less from the cast) the script was excellent perfectly written. I feel like this is such a under rated movie, more people should know about this film.

Borderline cringey
6 April 2021
I almost feel sorry for chloe mortez, she always seems to get landed with rubbish films. The script was absolutely god awful, honestly the dialogue was borderline cringe worthy. Just don't even bother save your time.

Pretentious
14 March 2021
Wow. This could be one of the worst films I've seen. It was trying sooo hard to be an art house indie flick it just came off so pretentious. The film was boring as hell and nothing happens at all. Its a shame because the premise was okay but the delivery was just awful.

Let down
13 March 2021
This film is pretty dead. I was excited to watxh as I enjoyed the book, but they have changed one of the biggest parts of it and it just didn't work. It really wasn't gripping at all and I got abit bored half way through. Shame.

Amazing acting
7 March 2021
Jack o Connell is outstanding in this, his accent, the way he portrays the character and the emotions he displays. Such a good film so glad I ignored the semi low score and watched anyways. Being from the UK i just can't fathom the death penalty still being a thing anyway, but this really touches on why we don't have it anymore here.

Have I missed something..
26 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There were so many pointless plot stories in this that were introduced and just.. left? What was the point in the whole adeles parents storyline?! Why was david sedating adele?! I know she threatened that women but seems very over the top.. also, if rob (adele) is evil and just switching bodies to suit him, why would he put up with that? Because he loves David so much? (After one time meeting him..) lots of plot holes and the twist was just bizarre. Why on earth did Louise astral project to get too adele in the fire.. she couldn't have done anything anyways! I also now feel worried for the kid 😕

Please watch this movie for yourself
21 February 2021
This film really is not as bad as people are making out! I watched this before reading any reviews so went in with an open mind and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there were a few moments where I thiught wow this guy must be a machine how is he still alive, however, I dont think I've ever seen a horror/thriller where they don't stretch reality even very slightly. Suspend your disbelief, its a film made for entertainment purposes, its not made to have every little bit disected, its a thriller designed to have you on the edge of your seat. I knew there would be some kind of twist early on, however I didnt guess who it would be. Please watch for yourself!

Omg what a great show!!
19 February 2021
Honestly the trailer for this does NOT do this show justice. It was sooo much better than I thought it would be! I dont even know what it is that makes it so captivating but I havent enjoyed a show like this in ages. I loved the friendship between these two and God I wish I had that! They also smashed it with the makeup and editing, making younger Tully and Kate genuinely look 20 years younger! So glad I started this, and the massive cliff hanger means there has to be another series!!

Just a very average predictable film
1 February 2021
I agree with all the other reviews. The 'twists' are so glaringly obvious to the viewer they don't feel like twists at all. Such a shame as the first 10 minutes looked really promising, it just went downhill from there. I will say though, Angelina Jolie looks FIRE 🔥 not the worst film I've seen but definitely not the best.

Beautiful Sunday film
31 January 2021
This film is made for lazy Sundays! It's absolutely beautifully shot, the shots of England and the haziness of those summer days were stunning. The acting was brilliant, I never thought a film about archaeology would interest me so much but it was really well done. Had me smiling from beginning to end.

Hasnt aged very well
30 January 2021
I just watched this movie for the first time in 2021. It felt so much older than a 2002 film?! It looked really dated, the gore was unrealistic and honestly compared to films that are out today.. not very gory at all. Maybe im missing the point, but if you watch this for the first time it's not very good. I guess like American werewolf in London, I love that movie because I watched it as a kid. But maybe if you watched that for the first time you would have the same impression..

Cringe worthy
15 January 2021
I really wanted to like this show as there are alot of positive reviews. It has taken me around a month to finish it, its been a chore honestly. None of the characters are relatable at all, unless your a middle aged upper class white women who drinks chardonnay every day. Its extremely cliche to the point of being cringey, aload of hippies sat around a table reading eachothers texts to be more 'open and honest. Give me a break. Its very slow and nothing much happens to be honest.

Finally a good true crime doc series from netflix
15 January 2021
I was apprehensive about this as netflix have let themselves down before when it comes to dragging out true crime docs over a few episodes (madeline Mccann doc, ted bundy and the ripper). However this one is amazing! I like how they don't show you the killer until the last episode, it really builds up the tension and gets you gripped instead of giving you all the info on the first ep. Loved the cinematography too, very 80s. The guy was an absolute psycho and I feel I must say RIP to all his victims. Side note- i loved the Latino detective what a Teddy bear!
