Tell Me How I Die (2016)
Never take shrooms kids.
Okay, so if u watched any of the Final Destination movies it is clear that this movie was inspired by it. It still manages to stand in its own right however.
As in Final Destination someone can see the future, but it is not because of the supernatural but because of some drug that is still being tested. Naturally, because it is a horror movie, the visions are of the other characters dying. After they learn that is true what they are experiencing they of course try to counter it and, just like in Final Destination, cheat their deaths.
For the story of this movie the environment actually makes sense, and if you watch the movie you will understand why it is not all over the world like Final Destination.
I think that it is not bad that a movie gets inspired by another movie, as long as it is done well. And to honestly tell you, this movie is.
Sausage Party (2016)
The mushrooms hopped in your mouth
This is some weird movie right here. There is food porn, talking about things like hell and paradise and more stuff...
It feels more like a movie than a animated movie to me, because almost all of the action happens at the end and the rest is juts a build up. However it is done good.
At first the movie may seem boring, I actually didn't care for the first part of the movie. But when the action starts a little it gets you excited.
The movie itself is also not very long, 1 hour and 22 minutes, which is really good because they did not need any more time.
I actually wanted to rate this movie a 5 or maybe even a 4, but I am telling you man that the ending of this movie is really funny, awesome and well done. There is also a nice treat at the end, more than one.
Terminator Genisys (2015)
If there comes no sequel, **** this movie
This movie has good action scenes in it, but some of the parts are really unnecessary.
It begins with Kyle Reese going to the past, and it feels like a prequel to the first movie at the beginning. However when he gets into the time machine, John Connor gets assaulted and then...
Basically the whole past is changed. The date of Judgement Day is now different, basically throwing the second movie in the trashcan. Surprise, this is not the only thing that changes.
Jonh Connor now is the one that protects Skynet and the one that MADE Genisys. You know, John Connor, the guy that they protected since movie 1 because he was the chosen one to stop Skynet.
I did read that a 6th movie will come, so if the old and good John Connor returns then this could be a good movie, but if this is the end of the Terminator franchise then it is the worst, most disappointing end to end to a series of such good movies.
Deadpool (2016)
Great movie
This is a great action comedy.
The action scenes are great and also very funny. The 4th wall breaks are amazing, just like you would expect from Deadpool.
I never read or watch anything about Deadpool before, but after watching this movie I learned the most important things about him in a funny and exciting way.
The movie begins off great. The first action scene is well made and it has some good jokes in it. Deadpool is able to make you laugh while you are caught up in the action and actually paying a lot of attention to the movie.
Ghostbusters (2016)
How to murder a franchise expert guide
Now lets get the good things out of the way. The references to the original ghostbuster movies and other movies. Also some of the jokes made me smile.
The bad things now
It acts as if the first 2 movies never existed, even though in the trailer it said "30 years ago 4 scientists saved New York". Instead of making the original ghostbusters teach or introduce us to the new team, the original cast made cameos but they were not their characters from the original movies. That is stupid.
Also the original movies were made like 30 years ago and the CGI ghosts looked amazing. In this movie look so stupid, they have like some kind of fog around them, and it looks horrible. It is not the worst CGI there is but still.
Except the few smiles I got from this movie, I was dying for it to end so I can review how bad it is. The first hour was so boring I felt like it should end in a minute.
Also that they called it "Ghostbusters" without having anything to do with the original cast is really ******. As I said, it was even stated in the trailer that 30 years ago New York city was saved by 4 scientists, and this movie treats them like the first movies don't exist. One of the characters even said that they could be the first to uncover or like expose the existence of ghosts. I am telling you, if this was the first Ghostbusters movie (and I am saying because they are treating it like it is) the franchise would never been have known.
RoboCop (2014)
The worst RoboCop movie
This must be the worst RoboCop movie in my opinion, and it has nothing to do with nostalgia because I am not even from that time.
The movie starts with a little shooting, which is fine because I don't want to start the movie with a lot of shooting and violence or gore. The story has to build itself up a little.
What I did not like is that it took so long that it had some action in it again. After Alex Murphy survives the explosion the next 30 minutes is about how they are building him and him learning to accept it.
After this it goes into some boring shooting simulation against another robot, and Alex fails. Then they again go into enhancing him.
He now has "Battle Mode". When he is not fighting crime he is Alex Murphy and acts like a human, but when he is engaged in battle the machine takes over and now he RoboCop.
Now I did like that he was not slow and so robot like when he moves like the original RoboCop. This one can run, jump and move more freely all together. However when he is just walking he does not feel natural but like a robot just like the original RoboCop. Because he can do all those other things it is bugging me that he walks like that.
Since I am already referring to the original RoboCop I will also say that I do not like the new design. The original looked so good and it was much more simple than the new one, the new one looks to advanced for my taste. And he color black was unappealing to me.
In RoboCop 3 Alex had that machine-gun arm and his standard gun hidden inside his leg. That machine-gun arm was awesome and it felt like an upgrade exclusive to him. The new RoboCop also has the standard gun but next to that hes uses normal weapons the humans would also be able to use.
However, despite all what I have said the movie gets very interesting in the last 20 minutes. Although it is short I will give it a chance.
Him finding out who is behind everything and the shooting and the driving is all interesting. He also defied the protocol and what was called "Directive 4:Do not oppose OCP officers" at the end.
There are also reasons why the action is stupid. RoboCop just walks in the middle and when he screws up he gets showered with bullets. Because he acts like this he kills the last man but also gets destroyed as he was already damaged. Then we see him being repaired AGAIN.
Lets talk about references to the original RoboCop. I wont be talking about things like his gun because this movie is of course a reboot (remake) of the original movie.
The only thing that made me think of the original is when someone said "I wouldn't buy that for a dollar" referring to one of the many commercials that the original first 3 movies had. That is what this movie also lacks, the humor that the originals had. The commercials were a funny comedic relief, in this movie it is not only that the commercials are not there, I didn't laugh a single time during this movie.
Now to sum it up: According to me this movie is crap for the most part and the worst RoboCop movie yet
RoboCop 3 (1993)
This is a GOOD movie
major spoilers. Its a good movie, you picky bastards.
I watched all the movies in one day. Oooh, it is not an adult movie anymore with so much violence. Yes there was more violence in the first Robocop and it was more fun. However, if that movie had so much violence it does not mean that the next should have the same amount or more violence.
OMG he is flying, how could they. I do not see what is wrong with Robocop having a jetpack, i thought it was pretty awesome.
Also he has gotten another upgrade. Instead of only that gun he now has watched Scarface and said hello to the little friend. So to compensate for the lack of violence he uses this weapon.
Also, there were ninjas. RoboCop vs Ninjas. Yes they could have been better and have more equipment. However I do not agree with people who say the first ninja was overpowered and RoboCop should have no trouble with him. RoboCop is slow and the ninja is fast and can cut through steel. Also Robocop just met him and did not know him and his moves. And yes the ninja is also a robot.
What I really liked is what there was less of. Prime directive 4 is gone. You know, that thing that kept him from arresting that Dick in the first movie.
Now I am not saying it is the best movie, but it is not that bad. I actually really liked it, except when officer Lewis died because she was stupid enough not to wear her armor. The rebels were protecting their home, and I would do that too.
So I like that. So, it is clear I like the movie much more than a lot of people.
