The Morning Show (2019)
Season 3 is a top notch
Here's my 9 for season 3.
It's the best season so far imo.
Surprisingly, there are two characters whose arches I want to follow and whose growth is undeniable: Cory and Stella's. Stella is my personal favorite. Alex and Bradley are ok, but it seems like they are too much into their personal matters both are becoming a bit 2-dimensional, whereas both Stella and Cory are in 2D: we are finding out about their personal struggles and see how it affects their paths in UBA. Greta Lee's performance is outstanding.
And on the side note: seeing Jon Hamm made me wanna watch Mad Men again. He's a great addition to The Morning show cast.
Homicide: Life on the Street: Three Men and Adena (1993)
The best episode in TV history imo
I truly believe this episode is one of the best, if not the best in all television history. I rewatched it dozens of times since 90s, and it did age well.
The script, the acting, the drama, it's all there.
I wish they got all the Emmys possible back in nineties. So very happy Andre Braugher got one for his performance as Frank Pembleton.
Everything that came after was born from here.
Sadly, Homicide: life on the street is one terribly underrated show which truly was ahead of its time.
You can tell where the Wire's roots are from.
If you want to fall in love with these series, start with "Three men and Adena", it is not to be missed.
Ted Lasso: Signs (2023)
How is it even possible
I loved this show. I really did. I know it is focused not on football at all. It's a story about personal struggles, it's about finding your own way, your true self and accepting your own insecurities. It's about fathers and sons/daughters and relationship challenges. I get that. But how about professional growth as well? I see that it works for everyone except Ted, but it's getting ridiculous that after two whole seasons in Premier league football club he didn't bother to learn anything about this sport and and all he does is throwing occasional inspirational speeches at the team. I just don't buy it. I get it's a show and exaggeration is in place, but it's not even funny any more, it's a mockery. I do not believe in this show anymore.
Ghosts: Dumb Deaths (2022)
What a delight!
I never thought I'd say this, but DAMN MY EYES! Thank you from all the fans of BBC Ghosts, seeing Thomas/Mathew Baynron in American version was a pure joy! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the beloved cast! It was a class act!
I got used to American version and watch it as a separate story, I don't even try to compare two series because my heart belongs to British cast. But still. It was a great heartwarming episode with a nice homage to an original story.
I don't know the details of production, so I am wondering whether The six idiots participate in writing for NBC Ghost. Anyways, thank you for the idea of this unexpected crossover.
