Lady Bird (2017)

Yeah I LOVE Saoirse :)

Ok. I LOVE Saoirse and she's the BIGGEST celeb crush I've ever had. So I'm probably going over board with the "10" but hear me out. She is Irish and in this film I would have never guessed it because I feel she nails the atypical post-2000's teen angst American girl. I definitely got lost deep in her character. She reminded me sooo much of client I used to work with. Mildly reckless and a free spirited soul with the desire to just leave her small community for a bigger environment. She steals the show and the final scene is ABSOLUTELY DEAD ON with that "Eureka! OMG why did I miss that and not cherish my moments with my parents" moment.

Manic Depression is a frustrating mess

This film had SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL but falls flat with its end. I HATE the fact he doesn't bond with his nephew after the flashbacks show a significant bond was previously there. Makes no damn sense. Ok he survived a horrific tragedy and you'd think he'd see the opportunity to raise his nephew as a sign for redemption? Nope. The ONLY thing great about this film was Affleck's acting & that was barely enough to help earn it my "6" score. His character is presented well but I found it difficult having to root for him especially once the case was made clearer that he wouldn't be taking in his nephew.

Awesome incredible reunion live show of this cult legendary rock band! FYI, lead singer is Mike Patton of Faith No More, and this was his first band. The have an incredible range of influences from fusion jazz to metal.

Captain Marvel (2019)

Great film for young girls to look up to!

I already knew what to expect and saw all the positive and negative reviews before going to watch it. My ABSOLUTE unbiased opinion is that this film is GREAT! Great in the sense like Wonder Woman and it being another very awesome superhero that young girls can look up to. If I had a daughter I'd love to take her to watch this for inspiration.
