Cherry (I) (2021)

The sad story about the lives of the heros after the war

Its not the first movie about the consequences of the war and how everything gets upside down when you dont get the right help. The heros become villans and the hapiness of an inocent person turns into violence and illness. the description of the "dope life" is real and true and both main actors show great work. The Russo brothers finally show something else besides the marvel movies and it is great. they have the hability the turn a heavy scene into to a comic relif in a matter of seconds. So manny comic moments in the middle of sad parts. thats how you captivate the audience. Great actors, good script. Soundtrack was brilliant. The last 5 mins in the end were very emotional and the music halped a lot

This one heats you in the feelings

This movie was amazing and the fact that the story was true brings me pure joy. It is in fact a painfull movie beacause the story is so relatable and real. The friendshipp the this trio is present in every scene and the way they lean on each other until the end makes you believe that you can rely on your best friend in your darkest times.

To the cast, i give an great performance. i have to guive a shout out to Jason Segel for is performance. normally i see him in great comedies but is always good to see him go in other directions .

The director was great and the screenpaly was well writen.

A real story about loss

This picture moved with my emotions at a point that sometimes i almost stopped. the acting of Vanessa is disturbing real and out of this world. i just hope people can understand the quality of the cast that performed almost like a theater with long scenes with a lot of movement and choryography. Shia was great, always by Vanessa side. the diretor was amazing with the long shots threwout the movie. Both Vanessa and Ellen should be nominated for the academy.

Soul (2020)

A great family movie!

In a general point of view, the movie was great. Not the best I've seen but the story was intriguing enough to put me on my heels. The cast was brilliant em the story was original and full of emotion.

There was just one problem. In my opinion the picture shown to much information in thr afterlife scenes and did little with it. The transition between life and afterlife felt a little forced and the ending also.

The rest was great

It's sad to see a movie with such good potencial be ruin by a bad script and poor CGI. Not even the 80s environment could salvage this movie. Such a good cast guided by an average director and producers

Sound of Metal (2019)

Academy award winning performances!!!

What a movie!! Full of emotion. The sound playing along side the amazing performances makes this movie oscar worthy. I'm a fan of Riz career since four lions but now he step up the game with this crazy character full of deep emotion. Paul Raci is also another great actor with a great performance. During the filme I wanted to learn sigh language. Props to the director and everyone envolved in the movie

A good movie. A different story but still scary

A good movie if you wanna skip some heartbeats. Not good enough to see at theater because of the sound. Everybody knows the difference between an horror and another type of movie is the scary parts and the sound that comes with them. The story about the boy on the spectrum and weird is not a new thing. Also the technology factor has been done before. In the end a spooky movie with some scary moments

Besides Anne Hathaway portraing the villain, the movie was very boring and unoriginal. This movie shown so much promise with Robert on the weel and with this great cast and to fall short like this makes me sad. A good movie for kids but nothing else

This one was hard to see! Everything was so superficial and forgettable and the acting was very poor from everyone. The script was all over the place and full of high-school clichés. There is no connection between the girl the her stepbrothers and the way the story is told it feels like they treat witchcraft, supposedly something dark and evil, like a game. Not for Halloween. Just some dumb teen movie Sorry but bad

The Queen's Gambit (2020)

Once again netflix delivers an amazing show with a great cast! The main character stays relevant until the last episode. Anya shows the best acting of her career. The script is well produced threw every episode and the director mixes all type of scenes from long and paced scenes, to a small and detailed one. De photography is well made and full of taste capable of capturing Anyas emotion threw out the show. Money well spent! Keep it coming Netflix

Great movie with a powerful message!

The story centers around an immigrant couple that fights the system to get their kids back! Basically, the movie explanes the way social services behaves with immigrant families in the UK. As a Portuguese I felt every pain in Lucia's eyes and the anger she felt when they took her kids away. UK should be ashamed of their behavior! The government must change the law now!! The movie is based on real events and I hope the real family is proud with all the actors that portraits every character.

Great feel-good movie! Recommend for all family's. The dog is such a good boy and the hero of the movie. The end is a little different from the usual rom-com with good action sequences and proper CGI

The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)

If you are expecting a spooky story filled with scary moments, than this one is not for you. Instead you get to see an amazing, and creative story with an incredible narrative. The way each episode is told, the final product makes us feel every emotion the characters feel. The details in each character are so full of depth and the music travels threw every different scene. The '' hunting'' is not really a hunting, is nothing but a house full of fading memorys. This show at times makes me feel like I'm in a play with all the dialogue between characters and the incredible monologues. The drama, tension and action are all mixed with the joy, sadness and addiction it was too see this show. Highly recommended for the lover of beautiful stories and masterclass directors.

Mulan (2020)

Another failed live action Disney movie!!

This hurts a bit because a loved Mulan the animation version. This remake failed in every aspect of a good movie. The script was terrible! Somehow they decided to change the story and take away the relationship between Mulan and mushu, the only comic relief possible in this disaster of a movie. The cast was chosen poorly and not even hip man could save the movie. Movie full of low budget CGI and predictable green screen backgound

António Campos should be really proud of this one. Usually I don't care for a narrator during this movie but when is Pollock telling the story everything gets better. Pollock gives an excellent narrative full of opinions and insults for each character. The story is well written, even with the cross between storylines witch is always difficult to do. The cast is superb! Everyone one is so memorable. My surprise was Herry Melling! He was great in every scene speacialy the one with the spiders

Enola Holmes (2020)

Failed to solve the mystery of the lost script

The movie was OK. Not that special. With a cast like Henry cavill as sherlock, I started wondering his envolvement but it turns out he barely appears in the movie. Also the mothers part of the movie gets lost in the movie. The reason to her disappearance isn't obvious e the women's right movement also dissapears in the movie. The cast was good but a little wasted in this movie.

An OK movie to watch at home on a Sunday afternoon...

This movie is a difficult to análise because I like all of Russel crowe's movie but this one is a bit bad. Directing reasonable. Acting is good from the protagonist. The writing sucks!! Where is the background from Russel crowe's character? He just becomes violent? It doesn't make sense. The ending was so predictable that I wasn't even sure if really ended or not. Russell was very good representing the antagonist but in the end, wasn't enough.

The Tax Collector (2020)

Movie falls short. Shia was great!

Unfortunately this movie falls short in a lot aspects. The direction was good but not the best from Ayer. When you see the trailer you star thinking is a movie similar to "harsh times" mixed with "training day" but the scrip is very poor. The cast, a part from Shia, was OK but sometimes forced in some scenes between the couple. Shia was exceptional! His character showed so much promise but dies in the early stages of the movie. The writers should've done a movie about him and his background. Shia delivers as always a great performance and full dedication to his work.

The New Mutants (2020)

A teen movie!

Over all, it's a normal movie and a bit boring. Dialogue between characters seems a bit forced and hard to see. The cast is not bad. I have been waiting for this movie for three years and I have to say I'm disappointed with the outcome. Also I was expecting a horror movie and it's nothing but a teen movie.

Tenet (2020)

Time bending action movie. Loved it!!!

Christopher, once again, created another masterpiece full of action and a mindbending story. Both the direction and sound create a feeling of putting the viewers on the edge of the seat throughout the movie. The connections between the realitys are beautifully made in the action sequences and the storyline.

Masterclass director, there for masterclass cast!
