Dragged Across Concrete (2018)
Was expecting a comedy but not even close
Just found this on Netflix. With both lead actors, I thought it would be light and funny...noooo. Quite intense and sad really. It is indeed a little slow and the one liners are funny but drags on. A little gory at times but not too much obvious is shown. Very brutal with the killings of innocent people throughout the movie by these masked men. The ending is a bit surprising as the one who survives is not what is typical in Hollywood movies...I liked that part. Overall, I thought this movie has a good story line though a little hard to watch at times and the ending is a little sad. It was entertaining but violent and not for some.
The Transporter Refueled (2015)
Pretty sad
Every scene is pretty much predictable. Bad guys can't shoot straight and the main characters survive every possible "impossible" situations. Shot like a TV movie.
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
Confusing but not that bad
I've never seen so many 1/10 for any movie, like a converted effort to drawn this movie! The plot IS confusing...what is indeed real vs what she's dreaming from her novel is never made clear so that's frustrating. Acting was decent and not sure what the complaining is about. I thought it was a decent movie overall.
The Mule (2018)
Expected more
Had its moments but overall, i was disappointed with the nothing ending. Yes, he reconciled with his family but he could have also reconciled with the law for breaking it so many time! He carried a lot of drugs that will hurt many people but nothing about that because he's a (selfish) old man? And is the DEA really that stupid to only stop drivers that looked like criminals...and old white men get free passes? That's actually poor profiling. Good thing I didn't pay real money for his. I like Eastwood but this was not one I'd recommend.
Hong hai xing dong (2018)
Great action movie
Similar to American made war movie in terms of action, equipment, tactics, but more realistic showing that enemy's capabilities and good guys getting hurt and shot! Some people say it's Chinese military propaganda, I'd say it's about the same level of s**t as u see American war movies. If only bad guys die so much more often than good guys, we wouldn't have so many wars. 🤔. A good change to see heroic action movies that don't speak English!
