The Dukes of Hazzard (2005)
This is a FUN movie ... don't listen to the critics
I initially avoided this film because the critics lambasted it so much. Don't listen to them. This is a fun film. The car stunt scene where the General Lee makes an unusual entry onto the highway is fantastic, as are the copious power drifting shots. I've been a fan of the Dukes of Hazzard TV show since I was a kid, and this film has a different flair, but it works.
The engine sound is terrific. Sounds just like the hot rods that slowly rolled past me at the small-town Tennessee parades I've attended.
The film is a 9 out of 10, but I gave it 10/10 on IMDb because the current weighted average of 4.3/10 just isn't fair! YEEE HAAA!

Like the majority of other media, this film shows war without the warfare. Not a single dead body -- Iraqi nor American -- is shown in the film. What is war without blood and death? That is what war is. To not convey this is to not tell the truth.
There are verbal references to a few of the 1,827 American soldiers that have died during this war, and to the 23,000 to 100,000 Iraqi civilians that have been killed (depending on what source you use) but there's no raw visual footage that shows what words cannot convey.
Instead of showing the full truth of war, the film focuses too much on soldiers partying around a clear blue swimming pool. It could make a great recruitment tool.
