Sweet/Vicious (2016)
A show about rape victims that actually does them justice
The review contains spoilers for episode 2.
In short, the show is about a rape victim who goes all vigilante and fights guys who raped other girls and the show handles it amazingly.
In general if you have a rape plot on a show, it all tends to go towards victim blaming to keep it "realistic" but here? There isn't any victim blaming anywhere. They don't try to humanize men who raped girls and try to make viewers feel bad for them. In episode 2, Ophelia murdered a rapist who was about to kill Jules but the show isn't trying to guilt trip them about the murder either. Yes there are consequences and they're affected by it but it's not making them into villains because it was just what they had to do to survive.
Also it's not super dark and it has just enough comic relief (it's actually pretty funny) and it has girls fighting for other girls. Where else do you get to see that executed this well?
If you're looking for something new to watch please consider this show. It deserves a lot more attention.
