I'm so glad I paid attention to the high reviews and decided to give this a go. Binge worthy in my opinion. Main characters were flawless in their delivery of very believable people in an unbelievable premise. Not too intense. Not boring or plodding. Just perfect!

Such a shame a potentially great story was let down by inconsistencies, terrible writing and terrible acting. Not enough to suspend disbelief here and each character was about as real as a plastic action figure or Barbie Doll. I hope some day, perhaps ten years from now they decide to do a reboot and inject what was needed or lacking in this version to give the story the wings it deserves and truly lift off. I can't say I'm unhappy for watching it, but know I won't waste my time watching it ever again.

Okay...to all the negative reviewers...I agree this show is not truly knee deep in how modern day reality works...but then, the same can be said for Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, Good Girls, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and True Detective. All shows I thoroughly enjoyed. If you want a tv show that wholesomely sticks to the core of reality, then watch Chernobyl on repeat!! Katey Sagal absolutely shines in this role and brings more dimension to her character than most other female protagonists...eg, Law & Order etc, etc! I've watched the entire season and found elements of the different storylines worked well, and other areas sadly missed the mark. Many (not all) of the characters in this show are way beyond one dimensional and have you feeling a range of emotions. Very much liked it! Highly recommend.
