Why? Why? Why?
24 September 2006
If I could I would give this piece of crap a 1. Now where to begin. I was pretty young when this came out and when I went to see I first wondered why Val Kilmer didn't return for this one and I wondered why Batman and Robin merchandise was being sold at the theater. I soon discovered that Kilmer didn't come back because he liked his reputation. I can not understand why anyone would this think this walking merchandise advertisement(my other wonder) would ever be made a movie. Adam West and Burt Ward probably would of said no to this one. How did a great actor like George Cloony think this was a good idea? I mean don't get me wrong, I love Batman. I can't even break down the problems with this movie because IMDb only gives a 1,000 word minimum. Let's just say it'd be easier to sit through your Grandma pick the corns off her feet then this piece of crap.

Batman, a hero at last
24 September 2006
Batman Forever is a the second best live action Batman ever, hands down. Gone is the completely dark Micheal Keaton Batman, and in comes Val Kilmer who, as Keaton did, provides a great Bruce Wayne, but isn't a good Batman.

One of the main reasons I like this movie so much is Batman is finally a hero. He seems more heroic. The fighting is more outrageous but fun. Also I think Jim Carrey is the greatest of Batman's villains. Sure he steals the screen from Batman every time but still, I liked it. Besides Carrey, I was finally relieved to see Bruce Wayne and Batman be the main characters of this film and let the villains take the side stories.

The biggest problem with this movie is Robin....I HATE ROBIN!!! I don't always. The comics I really enjoy him being there to back Batman up. Does anyone else notice he just gets Batman into more trouble? It's pointless to let Robin into the live action series because he takes some of the spotlight off of Batman/Bruce and bores me with his story.

Too Dark
24 September 2006
Now the parts I enjoyed with the original Batman, are not in this one. This movie is just too dark. It's no longer a Batman film, it has become a boring crime film with another "hero". Micheal Keaton wasn't ever a good Batman and showed it being number 2 to the Joker. Now he's number 3 to Penguin and Catwoman. I do like Catwoman in this movie but I don't understand the Penguin. He's nothing like the comic book Penguin that was clever and suave. Danny Devito shows a just disgusting excuse for a villain. The only thing in this entire movie I like was the Bruce Wayne, Serlina romance. I liked how they were attracted not only as Batman, but as Catwoman as well. Though not even romance can save this train wreck you could call a Batman movie.

Batman From Comic to Gothic
24 September 2006
First I'll explain the reasons I like Tim Burton's Batman. First of all it finally brought the frighting and menacing Batman. Not the 60's Batman that was so pointless and stupid I found Batman boring and just another kiddie show/cartoon. With this Batman we get to see a darker being who fought more realistic villains. Jack N. was the best choice for Joker ever. It's sometimes hard to tell if it was the comic that made Jack's version of the Joker, or if it was Jack's version that made the comic's.

Now the bad parts. I really did enjoy seeing the dark side of Batman, but I mean it was just too dark at times. I think Batman seemed more like a vigilante then a hero. Also I think making the villain or the alter-ego the star of the movie is bad. Bruce Wayne should be the star. Batman and Joker should take a back seat. Jack N. being the star of the movie is boring when seeing him do something that Batman doesn't have anything to do with. Another thing was Micheal Keaton. I do like him as Bruce Wayne but Batman's a different story. As a rich guy, yeah it's believable. But if I saw Micheal Keaton wearing black rubber, I wouldn't fear him, I'd laugh.

One of My Favorites
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This is not only my favorite Dragon Ball Z movie, but one of my favorite movies of all time. The longest and best DBZ film there is. I can't say how much I love this movie. I like the twist of how Goku isn't he first Super Sayian and is no where near strong enough to defeat Broly. Goku gets one of his biggest beatings ever. I honestly think this shouldn't have been a movie but a saga on the show. I mean the idea of a new Planet Vegeta and Vegeta the Prince is great. Also this is the first Goku villain that's held a grudge against Goku before they meet either on TV or movie. Broly's hated Goku forever. Broly sort of does that large super sayian Trunks does that slows him down but it doesn't slow Broly down. I really do love this one and recommend it 100%

Let Down
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I was really let down by this movie. It's not really anything but the story. I love the animation, the fighting, and the voice acting, I just hate Androids. The androids are the worst part of Dragon Ball Z and the films. Cell's the only on that slides by. I find them pointless. So naturally a movie about androids will not appeal to me. Androids in the DBZ series seem like bad rip offs from the Terminator series, (Robots that dominate the future come to the past to kill the ones who can threaten their future. And a human comes to warn the people about them) Hm......pretty similar.....so I really can't like this movie that much but I still do like some parts.

Cooler's Back
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
If you read my comment on Cooler's Revenge, you'll know I really like the Cooler villain. He's an awesome character. Way better then Frieza. This movie I like, but it's not my favorite Dragon Ball Z film because first of all him trying to destroy New Namek is random. Just sort of annoyed me of how much irony there was in that. I do like the twist at the end and the fact there's like millions of Meta Coolers which seem impossible to beat. Also there's a stupid move in this movie on Cooler's part. Everyone who has seen this film knows what I mean when I say never say out loud what could kill you when you think the heroes are dead.

The Best at the Point
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This was the best DBZ movie that was ever made at the time of it's release. While the first three weren't that great and the fourth was the in my opinion the awakening of the films, the fifth was when the movies came into their own. Cooler is a really cool villain and much better then Frieza in a lot of ways, (1 way is he doesn't sound like an old woman who smoke for 50 years)Cooler is also the first really awesome villain in the films. Probably one of the best in the whole DB franchise. He's everything that Frieza should have been. Also I like how Goku still couldn't go Super Sayian whenever he pleased and still needed anger to do it. All in all I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it.

Highly Underrated
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I really don't see why people don't like this movie. I did like it and it was finally a Dragon Ball Z movie that I liked every aspect of. Lord Slug was a pretty cool villain and beat Goku pretty bad. Actually I liked the beating. My favorite part was when Goku became a sort of Super Sayian. I call it that cause all that happened was his hair went up like a SS and his eye color left, almost Kaioken, not the blonde hair like the regular one. The animation was cool, going into the much better animation that came into the show at the time of this movie. The voices were great too. These were the voices that made the characters who they are. Goku and Gohan especially.

Not Very Good
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I love Dragon Ball Z but the first three movies they produced were not great. This the worst of three. I honestly was out of the phase of Sayians being the villain. After Vegeta, there's no other good villain that's a sayian besides Broly. When I think evil, the word Turtle never comes to mind. I also don't like the voice acting. Just not the right people for the job. I'm so glad that the voices and the type of drawing changed after this movie, I'm not sure if I could have taken another one after this sad little movie. Also knowing that Super Sayain already existed while I watched this movie, made Kaioken just seem a stupid technique.

Better then the Dead Zone....Not Saying Much Though
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The World Strongest was a decent Dragon Ball Z. I mean it tries to be original. While the first film The Dead Zone retold the beginning of the show, this one made a honest attempt to make an new story....problem is....the story's pretty plain. Goku's friends are hurt, Goku shows up, fights a few of the lackeys, get the living crap beaten out of him, finds a way to beat the bad guy. No surprise. Well one. Goku's spirit bomb works on the boss. Goku's used that thing four times. Only hurt Vegeta, barely hurt Frieza, killed Buu, and this robot guy. That was pretty cool. I also don't like the voices in the movie as I don't like the early voices of the show. They just don't fit the characters.

It was OK
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Some of the Dragon Ball Z movies were great but confusing. The movies are only mentioned once in the series, otherwise, they never happened in the show. This is one that happened. Garlic Jr. The second worse villain in DBZ history next to Android 17. The movie was pretty good but with a different villain and not this stupid Dead Zone thing, it might of been a pretty good retelling of Gohan's first burst of power. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the early films because I don't like the voices and the villains don't reflect with anything from the TV series. One, two, and three all have their own, new but sad villains. Meanwhile the rest have some villain that have something to do with the show like Frieza's brother Cooler.

What happened???
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I was a die hard fan of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I loved Goku and his friends. The hype online for this show made it sound pretty cool. Super Sayian 4 looked amazing. I couldn't wait. Then the show hit and all the great things that the first two held was gone. So many mistakes happened. 1. It seems like the creators just ripped off Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z and combining the campy fun of Dragon Ball, and the action of Dragon Ball Z. What do you get? Crap. Each show was special for being different. GT brings nothing special of it's own to the table because honestly, there is no story left, just some people who want money. 2. Why is Goku a kid? I loved Goku as a kid back in the day but that was then, this is now. I want the adult Goku. I really can't take little Goku seriously. I mean I understand that's how they figured they could bring back Goku's tail which meant he could go Super Sayian and be monkey, which turned him Super Sayian 4 but then why doesn't he return a kid at Super Sayian 4? 3. The villains in this are horrible. Baby looks like a combination of Buu and Cell. Can't anyone make a new villain??? Super 17???? Android 17 could very well be my least favorite villain in DBZ next to Garlic Jr.(I did like him a little cause it was Gohan, Krillen and Piccolo that fought him and not Goku) The Dragons could have been cool but just were another version of Buu. 4. Our old friends were worthless. Goku and Vegeta are the only heroes in this entire show. In Dragon Ball Z, the others (Gohan, Krillen, Piccolo, etc.) hung around and fought the villain to make time for Goku to arrive. Now they sadly, have been overlooked. Most are old or just gave up fighting. Gohan once had some spotlight but now is nothing but an idiot. Goten I had such high hopes for. While Gohan had always been pretty weak in DBZ, Goten could have been greater then Goku but of course, Goku can never be beaten. One of my biggest problems is Trunks. I remember future Trunks from DBZ and the later kid Trunks and they were awesome. This Trunks is stupid. He's about as intimidating as a paper bag. Pan is beyond annoying too. Pan could have been the female hero of the show which would have given the show a female audience. Instead she's weak and annoying. She can't even go Super Sayian.

Sadly the only good part this show is the end which was sad cause it was the end to one of my favorite series. GT was horrible. I think me and my friends could have done a better job. Too bad......it could have been great.

The Best in the Series
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Dragon Ball Z is the continuing adventure of Goku and his friends. This story is much darker then it's predecessor.....people die about every few episodes, even Goku. The name of the show has always sort of confused me...while Dragon Ball dealt a lot in the Dragon Balls, and the later Dragon Ball GT does as well, the dragon balls in this are just like something needed in case a friend of a lot of people die. Also Dragon Ball Z is more action, more violence. I sort of miss the campy feeling that Dragon Ball had, but I do like how much action there is. Goku is still the same pure hearted hero he was before. I like Vegeta too, who is a hero too, but wants to show he can beat them more then wanting to save the earth, though in the Buu saga he does sacrifice himself for the sake of his family. Dragon Ball Z is far more entertaining then Dragon Ball and is a little easier to get into.

Dragon Ball Rocked!!!!
4 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Dragon Ball is the beginning of the long running series that has become insanely popular in America. In the beginning it's a campy, funny adventure with Goku, a happy boy that's has amazing power for not only a child his age, but for most normal people. Of course no one's normal in this show. He first meets Bulma, a pretty blue haired teenager. Bulma explains to Goku (And us) about the legendary Dragon Balls which have the power to grant you one wish. Any wish you desire. The story takes off from there. As the story progresses though, the story losses it's campy feel and turns into a rather dark telling of Goku's travels. Towards the end he's friends actually die which is sort of strange because when I first started watching it I thought it was kids show. It was for awhile. But the show obviously is preparing you for the next series Dragon Ball Z, a much darker telling of Goku's travels. But Dragon Ball is great show and has a hero that pretty simple. Goku is pure of heart and will always be, no matter what.
