3d d-box worthy... wanted more background on the enemy.
19 November 2017
watched it in 3d and dbox, definitely worth it, at times it seemed like the seats moved, just to move at times instead of with the actual scene, but it enhanced the show. the 3d was great.

there was a surprise in the show that's not in any of the trailers, which made the movie better than expected.

i was not a fan of the villains- their purpose, and their story. perhaps if i knew more about the DC world i'd have more respect and understanding for them, but they don't really compare to other villains of other super hero shows. overall an entertaining show with good action and a little humour. definitely worth the watch.

a story so out there, but told in a way it couldn't be made up. passive aggressive gangsters FTW.

just enough violence, just enough dialogue and a pace that never needed slowing down or speeding up. the series uniquely uses humor and passive aggressiveness to create a serious story and tone. the way events unfold and the story is told makes each episode original, intriguing, and intelligent, it didn't feel cheap or cheesy. each line, each scene had a purpose, there was nothing that needed to be trimmed or added and the acting was great, not one character seemed out of place or annoying. as it states, it was based on a true story and the story is so out there and told in such a way that there was no way it was made up. truly original gangsterness

nice idea, poor execution. too artistic for it's own good.

not d-box worthy, barely felt the seat move and when it did it was waking me up as i was losing consciousness. i felt as though the director tried too hard to make it artistic and intense, the result felt simplistic and boring. lot's of dark scenes with highlighted shapes, rough weather and an intense soundtrack, this created an intense feeling, but the simplistic action and dialogue just didn't fit. the action and dialogue felt drawn out and much too tame for the intensity of the set; cool idea but poor execution.

real and raw, a true depiction of the gangster life.

a true depiction of gang life, very real, very raw. i had mixed emotions about the first season, i wished the series went in a direction more favorable to the lead actor, 2nd in command Ciro. however, it went the way it did and major drama, betrayal and violence was the result, making it addicting to watch. the acting of each character, big or small was truly believable, each scene made you feel as if you were a part of the story; as part of the gang or an innocent bystander. the series had many characters, in some shows it would be too many, but the way the story was told each character no matter how important their role, made you feel for their individual situations and each character was crucial to the unfolding of events. i felt the acting, plot, set, characters, and cinematography all added up to create an excellent show.

to note, i felt the decorating of the boss' homes was awesome, I grew up with many Italians and the ones with money had interiors just the same.

i recommend this show to everyone, and everyone i've recommended this to says they love it too

best cop show ever. I can keep this short so you don't waste time reading this review and go ahead and start watching. twists, turns, action, drama, believable and binge worthy. great characters, completely original stories, well shot and focused on a part of law enforcement you wouldn't think would be all that fun to watch about. each season gets better than the last. i've recommend this show to all my friends and everyone i've recommended this to says they love it too. don't miss out on some seriously good TV.

don't miss this fantastic, realistic spy thriller.

the plot, characters, scenes, stories, side stories are fantastic, realistic and believable. Nothing over the top and nothing underwhelming. only thing i wanted when it was finished was another season. most foreign language shows don't keep me in the zone (binge worthy) due to having to read subs, but i couldn't stop loading episode after episode. i did wish there was a little more action but totally unnecessary. don't hesitate to watch this, you won't be let down.

such a disappointment.
2 October 2017
this show only gets a 4 because i like the idea of it, the set, and the actors, but not the acting. once again TV takes a really good idea and turns it to crap. Heche is just awkward, she does not act like a person that would be in charge of a spec ops team, more like a frazzled kindergarten teacher and the way she talks makes her sound like she's doing her best batman impression. lot's of clichés and the stories are not original, recycled themes and ideas from past spec ops, military shows. i assume this show's intended audience is uneducated, highly imaginative mall cops, wannabe soldiers, etc... great idea, cool guns, but poorly put together. I'll be surprised if this isn't cancelled after 1 season. such a disappointment

Dunkirk (2017)

a thrill for all your senses.

this movie is a ride from beginning to end. i sat in the motion D-box seats (i always do if this is an option) unlike some recent movies this really added to the intensity of the movie. from the bullets and bombs exploding, to the high g maneuvers and the sway of the ocean, it truly feels like you are there in the middle of the action. the score made every scene feel like something epic was about to happen and it did. this movie doesn't tease you or play with your thoughts, it puts you in the soldier's shoes and you feel the constant fear that they will either die, be left behind or have lost all hope. the way the story was filmed seemed odd at first, if you don't pay attention there are a few scenes that are repeated but told at different times in the movie. so you'll see it from one point of view and in that point the scene goes from day to night and then that same scene will cut back to day and shot from a different perspective after a few other scenes have played out. watch it in d-box if you have the option and this is a movie meant to be viewed on the big screen.
