Captivating Chemistry and Forbidden Love: A Cinematic Delight!
12 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Having never delved into the pages of the original literary work, my impressions are confined solely to the cinematic adaptation. However, I can confidently affirm that this movie was an enthralling exploration of the enemies-to-lovers trope.

The brilliance of the film lay not only in its narrative arc but also in its innovative direction, ingeniously simulating intimate phone conversations as if the characters occupied the same physical space. This clever technique fostered an authentic connection, enhanced by the astounding chemistry exuded by the leads. Their interactions were so genuine that one could easily be swept away, believing in the legitimacy of their burgeoning relationship.

The portrayal of intimate moments was tastefully executed, offering an authentic depiction of the vulnerability and anticipation that accompanies a "first time." Equally commendable was the candid exploration of the "bot" versus "top" discourse, an aspect often shied away from in mainstream cinema. This film didn't shy away from these nuances, adding a layer of realism that further enriched the narrative.

At its core, the movie masterfully illustrated the complexities of forbidden love and its impact on relationships. The juxtaposition between families open to embracing unconventional bonds and those held captive by close-mindedness was portrayed with utmost finesse. The power of familial influence to stifle even the most courageous of declarations, such as "I love you," was movingly depicted. The scene where our protagonist chose to plunge into a lake to evade uttering those three heartfelt words resonated deeply, tugging at heartstrings.

While some voices have noted that the source material contained more intricate details deserving of on-screen portrayal, it's important to acknowledge the constraints of cinematic runtime. Despite this, the movie successfully encapsulated the essence of the story and its emotional core.

As for the question of delving into the original written work, I remain inclined to remain with the cinematic rendition. The movie not only captured the essence of the story but also introduced an innovative visual storytelling approach that painted a vivid and resonant narrative. In conclusion, "Red, White & Royal Blue" stands as a testament to the power of love, the struggle against societal constraints, and the lengths individuals will go to protect their most fragile sentiments.

From someone who hasn't played the game: worth the watch
12 February 2023
All the reviews are stating that it's not doing the game justice, but as someone who hasn't played the games: It's very entertaining. I'm actually going to buy the game now and hopefully it will be as entertaining as the movie.

Tom Holland does an excellent work as Nate and the dynamic between him and Mark Wahlberg is convincing. The obvious downside of the film is that it's basically a cliché. You know the ending without even watching it cause it's the same ending for all this genre of films. If you don't know what i'm talking about then you'll enjoy this movie even more!

Conclusion: Worth the watch if you need a movie that puts you on the edge of the seat!

A good storyline and introduction to the new characters.

I've always wanted to have a point of view of someone that was bliped and resurrected. This series does an amazing job at showcasing Yelena's resurrection and her confusion as she does not know what to do anymore. Yelena's sense of humor is one of the reason I loved Black Widow and I'm so glad they pursued that personality in this series.

Kate Bishop is an interesting character in the MCU with a lot of storytelling possibilities. Honestly I didn't mind her introduction in this very joyful themed series, but it would've been great to have some seriousness as she shot and possibly killed people at her age. I'm saying this on a character standpoint, as the actor Hailee Steinfeld does an amazing job portraying her.

There's a lot of negative reviews right here because of the comedic themed direction of the series, but I'd rather have this casual feel to the series instead of a dark soul crushing theme to the series. Decide for yourself!
