Dragans of New York (2002)
A shame it's never been aired.

A smart and sophisticated mystery in the vein of "The Thin Man," Hugh Laurie and Liz Vassey shine in this unaired pilot which, in a just universe, should still be running on TV today.
Hugh Laurie writes and stars in the title role of Mike Dragan, a former detective with Scotland Yard turned world traveler, with his wealthy and beautiful wife, Rachel. A modern day Nick and Nora (or Jonathan and Jennifer Hart of "Hart to Hart") the Dragans entertain wittily as they solve a missing person case.
The setting: New York. The music: jazzy. Dialogue: witty and clever. An attractive couple in a glittering setting with all the elements of a good show. Why this show never got picked up is the real mystery.
