Typical fashionable US political hype tearjerker..
16 September 2022
One big cliche script and dialogues, with a reasonably well performing cast, but entirely predictable from A to Z. The comparishment to the forever top notch multiple layered classic Dog Day Afternoon is also as highly misplaced as it could possibly be, the only actual simularity is that the story takes place in a bank. Even though it is, ofcourse, a good development that the topic of post traumatic stress disorder is finally getting the attention it deserves, this story has absolutely nothin to ad to what everybody already knows, which makes this production into little more than a here today, gone tomorrow movie, and helas, of no especially international film history value at all.

An atmospheric and pretty accurate display of the dynamics of mideval European power politics, and of the christian reign by terror
26 February 2022
Well performing cast, excellent visuals, spectacular action, enough cultural depth, and an entirely credible picture of how Europe was submitted to christianity, by simply eradicating all other believes by the means ruthless torture and of utterly mercyless mass murder.

More idiotic threats from the current Christian revival plague
9 January 2022
Flimsy plot, terrible acting, and a message even the Taliban would have supported. Apparantly somebody's been pumping money into this particular film industry lately, with as a result a pandemic of productions that come across as looking like serious feature films, but the message is still the same as it has always been : yield, or hell awaits !

A shamefully manipulative and possibly even dangerous religious propaganda flick...
8 December 2021
Don´t let the large number of awards fool you, but let words as Salvation, Alpacalypse Productions and Higher Universe Pictures do the talking for them instead. What we have here is a demonicly clever apparantly realistic build-up, in which factual problem of overmedicating in the healthcare sector for Pharma profits is gradually twisted and abused into a plot that declares mental illness as being nothing but a sheer matter of a lack of faith, and which therefor claims that all medication would be entirely unnessesary and dedundant if patients with a mentale disorder would only turn themselves into the care of the lord. This product should at least be distributed under a clear label of fiction, and should actually better still be marked as a potential hazard to public health.

Brilliant suspense fantasy show for grown-ups
25 September 2021
No gore, no masked psycho killers cutting up randostrangers for no good reason at all.. But, caracters with depth and intelligent dialogues instead, including a variety of theological theoretics, and a realistic critisism document on fanatical Christian psychosis in general. A definite delight to anyone in the posession of half a brain for sure ! :)

Undermined by overdone..
22 September 2021
Good topic, realistic case, too bad the film, sadly enough, looses part of it's effectivity as well as part of it's objective credibility in prolonging overacting jobs, and due to it's highly unnessesary overdramatized and horribly pompous musical support.

Infantile Hollywood rubbish..
11 September 2021
Mr Selfrightious fights against really, really bad men in a shabby TV show with nothing but flat caracters, cliché storylines, and with every development predictable from A to Z. And if that wasn't bad enough all by itself, all of this splendor is fully drenched in severe false sentiments overacting by all of the players, and accompanied by the worst kind of cheap mood manipulative music soundtrack one could possibly imagine. I'd personally reccommend, a definite no go area for anyone with an IQ of above 80.

Loose ends family drama without closure..
27 August 2021
A technically well made film with An exiting build-up, thatt, helas, ends up as an unsatisfactory TV movie level opportunities missed production.. In spite of especially the mother's good acting performance. The way too smoothly finale leaves us behind with all sorts of major unanswered script storyline questions as, has anything ever been done with all of the collected interviews video material of all of the other grieving mothers ? Was the frat leader ever sentenced ? Was the senator ever exposed ? Even if only a fictional individual case, still with so many loose ends that it brings down what could have easily been a film of real depth into large scale current issues contents value to the level of little more than a simple sentimental family drama, a pulp fiction tale of not even a decently elaborate revenge. The family members themselves and their interactions are so overly romantized that even while under alledged extreme pressure no-one ever looses control of their emotions.

And while the siblings of the victim just keep on smiling, the dad, who is presumed to be some kind of former hardman, does is nothing at all, he just continues to go to work and takes absolutely no action whatsoever.. With, as a result, that I personally, with the exception of them mom, couldn't identify to any of the other family members as real world people at all. And last but not least, I do think the director of this movie does show talent and promise indeed, but that a lot of professionalism could definitely be gained by learning how to make ends meet. Because in the end, the fact that no justice has been served, no promises to any of the other victims have been kept, and absolutely nothing has changed for the better, did leave me personally behind with the sensation of having enjoyed a wonderful appetizer while the main course never came.. And since all we are left with is the picture of the fairy content remains of our (never arguing with eachother about anything) modern day Waltons family, going back to business as usual as like almost nothing had happened at all, I suppose it would probably be best if we viewers would simply do exactly the same.

Ritchie´s downfall..

Predictable from A to Z, starring Statham in a new low as yet another emotionally flatlining flat caracter. Tons of big guns, endless firefights, a typical USA box office sellout directed by a once brilliant filmproducer artist..

A daring and powerful moral challenge !
24 March 2021
A young woman of few talents finds a way to live a live of luxury by using her body, and by compromising common society morality along the way. An excellent study of the human psyche, raw realistic. A fully deromantisized sequal of seemingly logical choises based upon the will to survive of a person who's only alternative would be to return back home in the cold, and to go back to living a life of poverty..

Terrible acting (especially by the dad) TV drama of extremely mediocre quality standards. Only just bearable in under half an hour, with the fast forward button at hand.

Furs and violins soap opera..
25 October 2020
Predictable from A to Z, flat caracters performed by B actors, a cheap sentiments soundtrack that would put even a Walt Disney childrens production to shame.. Another terrible beating for Netflix in the failing attempt to ever being able to complete, qualitywise, with HBO..

How lovely of our fine Americans friends to glorify the crusades, and to already teach the next generation that is perfectly alright to invade Arab countries and to kill anyone at will in the name of their wonderful bloodstained god.. 💐👍🏽😄 Alomost immediately enters Prince Charming, which assures us of that from here on out half of the rest of the show will be spend on teenage romance jibberish, and while Malaga is, ofcourse, as pretty as ever, as are once again all of the actors, ofcourse ;), in the the combat scenes everyone nicely awaits their one by one turn for stiff unnatural techniques, with kicks wouldn't event dent a freshly baked muffin.. But, if an infantiele no brainer story is to your liking, you'd probably be very much in the right place ! :)

A dirty lowdown cheap US propaganda flick..
26 June 2020
We are suppost to sympathize with a man who abandons his wife and his young daughter to go play the bigshot in the country that is responsible for the starving the Cuban common people to begin with, only to make their own casino's into profitable moneymachines again. A professionally made shamelessly reversed morality glorifying film, about saving the few towards US ´freedom´ instead of trying to help the many by fighting the embargo itself, in the very worst of taste.

Infantile pulp..
8 June 2020
Totally unrealistic and predictable. Here come the bodybuilders, next comes the pretty girl, 13th century all perfect teeth, ofcourse, all engaging in cliche all one at a time dialogues accompanied by almost soap opera like camera work and by a standard moodsetting music soundtrack.. Awards and nominations, for the love of me I don't know why.. Perhaps for the nature photography, the landscapes are actually rather impressive. ;)

3rd season, dark, insightful, profound !
23 May 2020
All of the damage people cause to one-another brought back to basic instincts of survival, of curiosity, and of mortal fear, cut the quest for acceptance and for peace of mind, and simply to the primal urge to please make a connection with if only one other human being already, to at least not have to face the terrors of the mind and of the soul, all alone.. Scary, creepy, recognizable, and very well done !

From bold and daring into absolute pulp..
20 May 2020
Aka, how to turn a great photography human interest story into a fully orchestrated false sentiments soap opera. The script sadly and fully inconsistantly moves by the episode from a truely gripping opening into a highly unrealistic peptalk drama that even the nowadays Walt Disney studios would probably be too ashamed to subscribe their name to. From the twist in the plot, one predictable cliche from A to Z, accompanied by a rediculously overdone full orchestra musical soundtrack that desperately tries to even enhance the already completely unproportionally overromantized message.., and a shame it is, for the first few episodes really did show a lot of promise..

A brilliant gloves off social political satire !
18 May 2020
A razor-sharp yet nuanced contemplative satire on the nothing but selfproclaimed terror-based power of institutions such as monarchy, nobility and the church, and on a rule of complely unqualified males in general. We follow a heavily underestimated young woman played by Elle Fanning who is married off to a Russian Czar from such a sharply cynical comic and a worthy of An academy award role performy perspective that I myself dare speak here of yet another breakthrough for free independent TV making. An intelligent absurdist realistic, and socially critical historical spectacle , with a lot of human insight, and completely stripped of all false romance! 💖💘💝

Good modern day Canadian mafia drama
16 May 2020
Canadian, not Brazilian trilingual, with a decently performing cast, and with a plausible storyline in which a family with ties to the old country attemps to invest in the building of a bridge between Calabria and Sicilia, that is expected to become enough of a goldmine to be able to go legit. And contrairy to the review as published on the mainpage, with no affliliations, or even an attempt to try to copy The Godfather, at all.

Brilliant and highly original surrealistic psychedelic with a dash of kinky crime thriller, an almost definite joy to, for example, anyone who appreciates the David Cronenberg and/or the Clive Barker oevre !
