Look Both Ways (2022)
I am bored.
Ugh. I sincerely do not care what happens with these boring and one-dimensional characters.
I'm so bored, I'm offended.
Halfway through and I'm turning it off.
Perfect Strangers: Or Get Off the Pot (1992)
Absolutely not.
I love this show. But I hated this episode. Why did they portray Balki this dumb? He's a blithering idiot in this one.
Balki and Maryann have been dating for years. All of a sudden he has no clue she has feelings for him? All of a sudden he's flabbergasted that she loves him? The continuity is joke.
So frustrating.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Part 33 (2019)
Hi, David Mamet?
This episode felt like a Mamet play staged by acting students. In fact, it would make a great onstage performance. Not sure what SVU is aiming for in this season but episodes like this ain't it, Sis. That being said, SVU is still the greatest show ever and I lovingly take the bad with the good...after 20 seasons they've certainly earned the right to be experimental.
Chasing Ghosts (2014)
Hour and a half of my life I'm never getting back...
This film has a very Made For TV Movie vibe. The script is stilted and the characters are grossly underdeveloped.
The main character, Lucas, is supposed to be unique and quirky but he just comes off like a little asshole. His parents are assholes too. The people that made this movie are assholes.
The character of Chris, played by Tim Meadows was contrived at best. I really don't know what they were trying to do with him but the character and script did a great disservice to a solid actor.
I suppose a redeeming factor for this film would be the little nerd girl. Her minor role brings a breath of fresh air to an otherwise stale cast.
Acceptable for Lifetime Television for Women. Epic Fail as a blockbuster.
Underdogs (2013)
Disappointing
This was a good idea on paper. The terrible acting completely sabotaged this film.
When the movie started I had high hopes. Underdog sports movies kick ass. I was hoping for an Invincible/The Little Giants/The Blind Side feel good movie. What I was left with was a disappointment I haven't felt since the student film I did in college. Only that had better acting. I stopped paying attention at some point.
What a bummer.
On a side note, the two stars are for Natalie Imbruglia. Solid talent there.
