Cats Was Better
28 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If you have always had a burning desire to see up Adam Sandler's rectum, if you love the sound of crunching celery, if you thrive off of stress alone, this movie may be for you. It's the most stressful and annoying film of all time. 3 couples walked out of the theater and almost everyone was relieved when Sandler got what was coming to him. This movie is AWFUL. I would watch Cats (2019) on a loop for 10 hours before EVER watching this again.

My heart is so full.

From the beginning it is as though you're watching the show again. The entire movie is set as, essentially, an episode of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It follows exposé writer Lloyd Vogel as he does a profile piece on a hero who just happens to be Mr. Rogers. Vogel is not known for writing kind stories about anyone as he is filled with pain, thus his experiences with Rogers become the basis for the entire story.

What I love about this movie is as soon as Tom Hanks enters the set you're captivated. His positivity evokes a smile from the audience as you can't help but feel his caring spirit looming over you. The movie connected with me especially in a way no other film ever has. On top of it all, this movie simply shows you the importance of being a loving, compassionate person even in the face of adversity. This movie likewise promotes an awareness to mental health in the most positive and healthy way it can.

Knives Out (2019)

Pretty good. About what I expected.
8 December 2019
I had high hopes for this one because of the ads alone. The acting was definitely fantastic and the story had some interesting twists and turns. It was also rather funny at times.

I was slightly disappointed by my own expectations. They were met but not exceeded. It was about what I had expected and I wouldn't expect it to win any huge rewards, but the movie was interesting and entertaining.

Queen & Slim (2019)

Wow. Just wow.
8 December 2019
Throughout my time watching Queen and Slim, I found myself holding my breath in terror for this poor couple. I felt so emotionally invested in them. The plot, acting, and story progression are all phenomenal. It truly provides a new perspective for so many people and makes clear the true horrors of what is happening in our country.

The only thing I didn't really enjoy about this movie is the aspect of people talking but not moving their mouths. This happens periodically throughout the film but there isn't an indication that it's a past conversation or anything. It feels random and misplaced. Aside from that, I have no qualms with this movie whatsoever.

Absolutely Fantastic
8 December 2019
Apart from being an amazingly informative movie, this film has so many characteristics I appreciate and applaud. First of all, the acting was phenomenal. Mark Ruffalo absolutely shined in his portrayal of Robert Bilott. Likewise Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Victor Garber, and all other actors and non-actors in this film were marvelous. Now, when I say non-actors, a select few of the characters being portrayed were played by the actual individuals. Likewise, the actual Robert and Sarah Bilott made cameos which are revealed at the end. Their presence made the issue hit home that much more, especially that of Bucky Bailey, but you'll have to see the movie to understand exactly why that is.

I left this movie fully acknowledging that it's the scariest film I've ever seen. There were no demons or ghosts or jump scares, but there was a brutal honesty that I myself was unprepared to face.

I do want to be blatantly honest about the captivating nature of this film. It is an informational film and it is deeply involving legal proceedings and the like. In other words, it's a slow-paced film that will likely be best appreciated by mature viewers. If you're looking for a movie that will be loaded with action or suspense, this probably isn't the movie for you. Even so, I found myself invested in every moment of this film and you may just surprise yourself with how much you like it.

Ainsley Ruins It
19 September 2018
This show has promise just as the amazing show Somebody Feed Phil has promise. Only, unlike Phil, Ainsley is just not a lovable guy. This show doesn't live up to its potential because Ainsley goes on a search for street food with the uptight snobbery of a 5 Star chef in a big city. He is quick to insult the workers (on tv I might add) thus giving them bad press for their generosity. Likewise, he tends to constantly customize the dishes to his own creation and then feed his renditions to the shop owners in a sense that implies he can do the traditional foods better than the ones within the cultures he visits. The food is the only reason to watch, but I would suggest watching Somebody Feed Phil instead.

Just don't

If you like straight gore then you might like it. But overall this movie just gross and isn't even remotely good. Don't even bother with it.

Wish it had lasted longer

So, the show is awesome but not without its flaws. Aside from hating the main character most of the time, this show is absolutely amazing and Britt Robertson can literally excel as every type of character imaginable. The show ends on a good note but it would've been nice to see how her empire grows. Watch it. Totally recommend.

Don't Do It

I love the Evil Dead franchise. But then, I see this poor excuse for a movie and I horribly mistake it for a comedy. No. This movie is literally something a high schooler could shoot on their iPhone. It's not funny. Just stupid and cringe-worthy. No clue how it has a 4.2. It's not even worth that much.
