Frozen II (2019)

So many rediculous reviews
16 January 2020
I'm so thankful for levelheaded reviewers with legitimate thoughts instead of "it sucked..." or "It was great...", especially the negative ones. No one cares about your opinion, especially without any REAL, detailed explanations as to why you feel the way you do. So many read like kids fighting without any substance. 1-star reviewers especially, no matter what's said are, not even worth the read considering those reviewers can't understand others likes/dislikes. 10-star reviewers have to take into consideration what a 10-star perfect score actually means; if you liked frozen 1 more, then you can't score 10 but if you liked it better, hope you didnt put the first frozen as a 10. Regardless, it's easy to disregard both extremes of the scale. In my personal opinion, this movie was excellent as far as what the art/animation department was able to produce; the orchestration & musical composition, along with the obvious power of the songs and whether humorous or emotional, were very well done. With that said, yes, there were some very quick 0-100 moments forcing a placement of a song to either force an emotion or shotgun the storyline. Some of the plot was a bit iffy and other parts just lacked some substance. But let's be real, if you expected this movie to be as good or better than the first one, then you had VERY HIGH expectations! For a sequel to match the rating the first of it's kind is able to produce, is extremely rare and not many movies have been able to do that. There was something very special about the first one and would be almost impossible to imitate. If it missed you off that it couldn't live up to your expectations, then how about YOU write the next script. Again, in my personal opinion, I was floored & excited that Frozen went into some dark & intense places. The song "Do the next Right Thing" by Anna was one of my favorites and really showed the importance of Anna's story and that her character was just as important as Elsa's. I did wish there was more of a single "villain" like there tends to be in Disney movies but I guess you can say that "situations " were villains, which I became comfortable with after watching the movie a 3rd time. I could really tell that this movie was very different because of my daughter's reaction to it. Shes 3+yo, inLOVE with the first one but is not as excited about the second- I feel like it has a few more adult themes that us older people can appreciate and in that, lacks some of that original "magic". And to end this, Kristoffs song was AWESOME! Yes I'm 41yo and a child of the 80's which is what it brought me to. Reminded me of REOspeedwagon power ballad.

So much fun for my daughter (and myself to be honest)

Not gonna say much only that my 3yo loves it, especially the music in the beginning- she insists on dancing to it no matter what. Is a fun cartoon, that's it. Guess you can't please everyone, but theres absolutely nothing bad about this show; some jokes only adults will laugh at as well
