Sansara (2023– )

Bingewatched it in two days

I usually never watch Russian tv-series, but I decided to give a try to this one, because it is a sci-fi and it has a very interesting plot. Everything here happens fast, and more important - it has a very positive message. I love series like that, which I could watch non stop without getting bored. The main actor did his job excellent. It was also the first time I saw Kristina Asmus playing, and I was a little bit disappointed. Sometimes it felt like she didn't know how to play and show certain emotions.

It is also interesting to observe the main hero developing his personality without help of a professional psychologist :D I give it 9 points, because I took one point away for the bad acting of Asmus, and horrible silicon lips of the ex girlfriend of the main character.

The Last of Us (2023– )

Zero energy

The first episode was quite well done, it was interesting to watch how it all started. I felt really sorry for the main character and his daughter. But then slowly it became very boring... Ellie is an odious "know-all" brat, with no energy and zero chemistry with Joel. Her behavior during the series made me hate her.

The last episode was even worse- we were not shown any proper connection between Joel and Ellie, and suddenly he kills so many people just to save her, plus robs the whole humanity from the vaccine. Seriously? Maybe it all made sense in the game, which I didn't play, but it was done too quickly and poorly in the show.

I won't watch the second season.

Blonde (2022)

An overdose of drama

It is a very realistic film and I am sure that the story is close to the truth about her. But the problem is a misbalanced plot. It is too dark and too sad, as if Marilyn had zero good day in her life. I got tired of concentration on her father issue and these embryo scenes are too much.

Anna is an amazing actress, she fits perfectly with this role and I wish her to get an Oscar fo this movie.

Every freeze frame of the movie is a masterpiece. It is very beautiful and splendid. The costumes, the furniture and the atmosphere are well painted.

But as I said, it is difficult to watch it because of a deepest sorrow feeling it gives.

The Wheel of Time (2021– )

Didn't get all the hate

I didn't read the book, and I don't understand why people who also never read it could criticize this show. The last episode was good enough for me. Of course the series have some weaknesses in logic moments, but it is quite entertaining and the image is well done. I would choose a different actor for the role of Rand, he looks translucent and always angry. Otherwise well done.

Emily in Paris (2020– )

Season 2 finally got good jokes

Even if this show is a bit trashy, finally season 2 got good sarcastic jokes and cool moments, where I am not only ashamed for the characters, but also enjoy the plot twist. Can't wait for season 3.

The One (I) (2021)

Very interesting up until the end

I give it 10/10, because I find it unfair that this series has such a low rating. It is very interesting, the idea is quite good and relevant to our time, all the actors play well and the cast consists of pretty beautiful people. I almost binge watched it, it was difficult to stop watching. And there is no slow and boring moments, which is often a problem with Netflix series.

Raised by Wolves (2020–2022)

Started well, but last episode is insane

First two episodes made by Ridley Scott himself were great. And then I started to feel that other episodes were different. Maybe the problem is that they change directors all the time, but it kept giving me weird feelings that something is not smooth in this series. We had a lot of unanswered questions during the first season, and the last episode just made it all worse. It is crazy and super weird. The script just unexpectedly changed it's direction, not in a good way. I give it 5 points, plus 1 point for the great visuals, and another 1 point for interesting storylines. 7/10 for now, I am scared to imagine what they will invent in season 2.

It was an amazing episode, ruined by unnecessary drama. I had an impression of watching a soap opera. Hope it won't be the case in later episodes and we will have only quality action.

Great season, real sci-fy

I don't understand people who say "this is not Westworld anymore". Are you really this stupid to think that the story will continue in a nature park the whole 6 seasons? As the creators said before, first 2 seasons were a base for the real story to come. And that story happens in the real world, not the theme park. I enjoyed every episode of the 3rd season. It reminded me of Blade Runner, with it's amazing music and backgrounds. Every episode was very amusing and fast going. There were some mistakes that I wish were corrected, especially in this last episode. But let's hope season 4 will come sooner than in 2 years and continue to be so exciting.

Future Man (2017–2020)

Amazing season 1, Not bad season 2, Almost Great season 3

The first season of this series is just brilliant. Won't spoil anything, I just advise to watch this hilarious masterpiece of humor. I saw it twice. Season 2 was not as excellent as the 1st one, but it was not that bad at all. And after few week episodes it became quite amusing, especially by the end. Season 3 I enjoyed as well, it was a completely different vibe. The season finale ending and titles were brilliant. I highly recommend to watch all 3 seasons.

First 3 episodes were very promising and interesting. After that the writing became poor, and I basically forced myself to finish the season, hoping it will get better. It didn't.

Really disappointing last two episodes. It was such a wats if time. Useless story, boring. We want to know who the kid is or at least see him in action!

Everything is great except the last episode - GOT edition

I love this show for it is darkness, fashion style and sci fi plot. First 3 seasons were great. The 4th season was weaker than the others. I thought I was watching a dystopia movie about nazi's, but it looked more like "Black Panther". American tolerance got event to this show... I didn't get why they concentrated every episode on this random rebellion, instead of showing us what was the great plan about the portal to the other world, and it's mancipation. We were following an interesting development in Smith's personality, just to see in the end how he simply shoots himself in front of Anna without even talking to her. Seriously? I am not going to list here all the imperfections of that season, only that the last few minutes of the finale episode were the most unbelievably stupid decisions of screen writing. Awkward end without actual proper ending. Worse than GOT finale, where at least we had a finished story. I give it 10 points, minus 3 points for the last episode.

What a fun film!

I give it 10, because first of all it is extremely underrated here with a note below 5. It is a funny and lovely movie, that becomes quite serious sometimes. I enjoyed every minute of it and it brought me to nice times :)

Great idea, great actors, but the script could be better. Instead of making it a fun and adventurous movie, we ended up with exaggerated sweet romantic soap opera situation, that made me want to turn it off.

Timeless: The Miracle of Christmas Part I/II (2018) Season 2, Episode 11

Boring

It was very rushed, my favorite character Flynn had a very stupid and sudden death. I had zero emotions for any of them, because everything happened too fast. A lot of bad and cheesy irritating moments. It was the worst episode of the series and the only one I didn't like. Also Flynn looks way more appropriate for Lucy as a love choice, than Wyatt, a bitter sweet typical American boy. But that didn't influence the final note of 5/5.

The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience (2019)

I love old The Lonely Island, but I didn't hear any joke during these 30 minutes. It is not even close to the hilarious Lemonading of Titus for exemple. I give it 3 points for visual effects and for some good actors.

I Feel Pretty (2018)

Funny and relaxing for a Sunday night

It is a light comedy for a movie night with girls. Quite original plot (for me) where the magic happens without really happening, to show us that it is all in our heads and we create our own happiness. I was even laughing a lot in the first part of the movie. Will probably watch it again later.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

One of the worst movies

I love Harry Potter and I enjoyed to watch every movie about this beautiful universe. But after watching this film, I felt violated. The only connection with the original HP was the opening title with the famous HP melody. The rest of the movie was a complete incomprehensible mess. Not only the plot was bad, but the whole acting of this amazing cast looked fake and unprofessional. I couldn't stand seeing frozen face of Eddie Redmayne for two hours, who never looked in the eyes of his companions during the talk and was always smiling. His crash, Katherine Waterston was a gray mice, can't remember much of her. Her sister (Alison Sudol) was beyond fake. Thanks god there was a funny muggle Dan Fogler who saved me from falling asleep. The appearance of Jonny Depp was quite ridiculous. Dude, go retire, please.

This movie contains too much of special effects, that was absolutely unnecessary and it didn't help at all. I can not understand why it has such a high rating and why there are so many people who loved it. Then again, Brexit and Donald Trump, what do you want from the mass...

I do not recommend it even for a home screening. Peace and love.

Train to Busan (2016)

The best zombie movie

This was the most realistic zombie movie I have ever seen. I could imagine myself experience everything that happened there. Great and quite original plot, that keeps your attention for the whole two hours. We get a very good acting, especially from the little girl. The soundtrack was also perfect. Unlike any American happy ending story, this Korean film doesn't try to show any mercy to it's heroes. I had only one remark: in the train they discovered that zombies couldn't see in the dark. So why did they escape the train straight away, if they could wait there for the night to come?

I highly recommend this movie to everyone, 10/10.
