Eye opening documentary
24 February 2017
Is Genesis History was an eye opening documentary. Cinematically, it was done very well and was generally pleasing to the eye. The content was scientifically-based and required a good level of attention to grab concepts and facts not easily absorbed by lay people. Most impressive was how the specialists, each in their own sphere of study, pointed to the viability and likelihood of a creation account. One by one, the modern day narrative of evolution was deconstructed and shown implausible. I personally would be surprised if any reasonably thinking Darwinian evolutionist walked away from this film unchallenged. The evidence provided was quite enlightening.

We took our whole family, so we had girls ages 10, 13, & 15. I think the content was very understandable to the 13 & 15 year olds, but some of it may have gotten lost on the 10 year old. Either way, very informative and challenging material.

A-Team with Six-shooters
23 September 2016
Good movie, but certainly not great. The cast are tremendous actors, but IMO Vincent D'Onofrio was the star of the show...fantastic acting on his part. Of course, Denzel Washington was a good main character, however, unbelievable given that historically, the west was populated largely by people of Caucasion and Mexican descent. I feel that the casting of mostly minorities was another pathetic attempt at re-writing history with a broad, multi-colored and politically correct brush that is all too common today. This movie largely lacked character development and I wished there was more substance to the film. What can I say? Like many other movies released in the last 10 years, it had plenty of action and fast-moving scenes, but fell short of becoming something memorable. In the end, the script reminded me of the classic A- Team episode, except this team sports cowboy hats and six- shooters.

Best Romantic Film I've Seen in Years!
22 October 2015
In a day when most romantic comedies have grown stale and predictable, Old Fashioned was a breath of fresh air. This film was honest, pure, and humbly suggests that sometimes the old ways are the best ways. It has surprisingly great acting, cinematography, and a well-written story line that keeps you engaged throughout the entire film. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of it and would highly recommend it to all couples - married, engaged, or otherwise. It would also make a great conversation starter with any young person, although I would recommend it for ages 14 and above due to some of the suggestive content. I will be looking for the DVD when it comes out!

A Fantastic Movie!
22 October 2015
War Room was a fantastic movie with great acting, an inspiring story line, and a message that must heard. I believe the timing of this movie release is truly remarkable. We are at a crossroads in America and War Room makes a clarion call for the sanctity of marriage, for the preservation of family, for impassioned prayer and the serious engagement of spiritual warfare. I highly recommend this film to all my family and friends. On a side note: We took our three girls (ages 9, 11, & 14) along to see the movie and the content was appropriate and kept them engaged. There were some short scenes of an inappropriate relationship taking place, but it was still subtle and done in good taste. All in all, a very good experience.
