Solid entertainment.

Do not watch it expecting originality, plot twists, heavy drama, or outstanding writing... BUT DO EXPECT A GREAT FAMILY TIME.

This is a show you can watch, literally with the whole family... Kids, teens, grownups and elderly people. Everyone can laugh, eat while watching tv and then go to bed to have nice dreams.

It's not a faithful portrait of reality but I do not care! The show focus on showing the positive side of life in ANY situation. I loved it and miss more shows like this!!

I've got nothing bad to say.

NORMAL PEOPLE ONLY!
13 June 2021
Experts and enthusiasts will not enjoy this show like I did.

It's been a long time since I've watched something that made me wanna eat EVERY SINGLE THING!

The host is not a food critic, he is quite the opposite... There are a few episodes where he actually changes chefs recipes in front of them (yes, I was also in shock) simply because he would not like some of the ingredients. CULINARY EXPERTS OR ENTHUSIASTS WILL GO ABSOLUTELY ANGRY ABOUT THIS... but truth be told, that's what normal people do in real life. If we do not like an ingredient, we don't eat it.

Do not expect history, background or explained details about dishes either... The show actually focus on promoting how delicious the food is and how much fun the host gets by eating it. I loved it!

The show made me wanna travel just to taste everything I saw.

I also enjoy the thecnical snob culinary shows on Netflix, but this one is not it and it won't please everyone...

Just watch it, have fun and get hungry!!

After season finale, my ratings went down.

Warning: Spoilers
I loved how Disney pulled off a good teen tv show without SEX SEX SEX VIOLENCE VIOLENCE VIOLENCE all the way down our throats... But after episode 5, the direction took a bad turn.

This show is different. Something I thought teenagers and parents could watch together and have nice conversations about it. But, even though adults characters and dialogues are great, the teen parts are sometimes cringy. So unfortunately, I feel teens over 13 years old would not bear to watch the whole season. I wish they could improve teens dialogues and actions, to look like real life.

On the first 5 episodes, the show was a balanced talk between different generations and point of views, WICH WAS SO RARE! But then it went down hill... The main character changes his personality for the worst ... And you start to notice the feminist agenda behind it. The mais character is THE ONLY HETERALSEXUAL MAN in the whole show, and his always wrong, having to learn about life with teenagers, women and a gay friend.

And also the direction of the show should be more solid... There are lots of variations on each episode... Each episode is conducted by a different director, and they are notoriously different. Montages and flashbacks are mostly unnecessary, and make the show superficial.

By the first episode I thought the show would be simple, pure, yet exciting and pleasant to watch. I watched season one with my husband and he felt the same way, at the beginning we shared some laugh's and happy tears... But by the end of the season we were both super disappointed.

Just sad.

Lots of morals, too little film.

SOME PEOPLE ARE SCARED TO BE HONEST HERE - at least, that's what I think.

Yes, this movie is super well done (pixar quality all the way) !

But, what I feel is... This not a children's movie.

It's just a good message given on proper timing.

They were so focused to pass a message, that the entertainment part was sooooo lacking... I HONESTLY got bored in the middle of it and got really close to sleeping on my couch.

What kept me going was the message, which was super predictable, but irresistibly sweet... AND SUPER ON TIME!

Visually interesting, interesting plot, revolutionary characters.

The magic and wonder, we are used to get from pixar, is just missing... The movie also lacks the super relatable characters and the fun plot full of funny scenes... That I was hoping to see!

I almost cried, and it was beautiful sometimes... BUT I didn't want to watch a sundance premiered drama short film... and that's what it felt like.

It is what you expect and that's great.

Not all shows need to be heavy on drama and filled with out of the box situations. This show is about the every day life of some middle class women in a small town. Their lives are almost perfect, and the problems they face are easily solved with optimistic and easy solutions... Love and friendship are shown on every single episode.

Nowadays people tend to prefer watching shows about epic times full of violence, magical and impossible world's, dramas that approach muders and corruption, and etc. It's okay to like those things and I'm included. But sometimes we need to watch things that ease our minds and make us happy.

That's what this show is: A true breath of fresh air!

Get ready for some acting and writing issues. Don't watch it as if you were an Emmy's judge, other wise you'll be tremendously disappointed.

Just get your dinner and watch it on the couch before going to bed.

Politics ruined season 4
22 May 2020
For those who love the show and watch it since episode number 1, getting to season 4 and seeing everything changed is a big surprise.

For three seasons you won't see anything about politics. But on season 4, out of no where, the plot brings strong statements about feminism, racism, political views and etc. Don't get me wrong, I like political shows and the visibility they bring to important conversations. BUT the way season 4 approached those subjects was too forced and out of nowhere. Politics had never been the point of the show, and from that point on it became the center of the plot.

Besides that, I hate how unbalanced the show was, not portraing a single good Republican or a strong conservative figure.

Just pushing too much the bar for nothing at all.

Locke & Key (2020– )

A lot of potential and lots of plot holes
15 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This could've been easily a huge Netflix hit, but writers underestimated the viewers intelligence.

The story is amazing and so much better than the stranger things's plot. BUT the writers were not able to deliver us intelligent and loveble characters like stranger things did. That mistake alone is enough to leave us frustrated with the show. I hope that season 2 show us a huge improvement on writing. Characters should be smarter and faster to understand what's going on, because, when the viewers start to make discoveries before they are reveled on screen, watching a show just waiting for something obvious to happen is tedious.

SPOILER ALERT-

The show has a lot of plot holes, But there are specific things that got me upset:

Why wouldn't the kids come back to the cemitery as ghosts to ask their ancesters about Dodge and the well house?

When Sam showed up at key house with a gun, why didn't the kids use the music box key against him?

Why did Ellie went home to pick up the shadow crown holding the key? The kids should've been with the key because they already knew that keys are always safer with them. (Because on Sam's episode, dodge said she could take away keys from anyone except the Lockes)

When they were with "dodge" body laid on the ground, why did they have time to call his friends but wouldn't call Ellie with the Eco key? If they had called her or called her house, they would've found out she was missing or whatever.

I'm not even talking about acting (Wich got weird on some scenes), but theses stupidities are definitely the worse. I gave this show 7 stars because the story is amazing, fotography is just wonderful, special effects and scenery took me to such a magical place and that got me rooting for this show despite all of its flaws.

Netflix, PLEASE DONT GIVE UP ON THIS SHOW AND DO IT BETTER!

If this is PG 16, teens are not that stupid.

As feminist as possible
27 February 2020
And I don't like it.

I don't know if it is just me, but I'm so tired that most of television right know wants to "educate" us on their own particular opinion about politics. To be honest, I understand that there are issues that we, as a society, have to talk about, but there is a balance that is lacking on this show. On the show, every male character is just not important... Or men are just weak and have nothing admirable. The show is slow and sometimes it feels we are watching a Democrats speech without any counter response. It's lazy, and this is just so sad.. because this show has a spectacular cast, direction, photography and production... Bus I miss a, just as strong, conservative character to balance this feminist desperation.

A balanced score
25 April 2019
Between her fans giving 10 stars to this, and haters giving only 1, there is me who knows a few of her songs, but never even listen to one entire Beyoncé's album.

I stand with a 7 star review and I'll tell you why.

Everybody got to admit that this production deserved to be recorded. This is just a concert, a Coachella concert, but Beyoncé put an effort on it beyond precedents!!

That's it guys!! You can not expect a concert she could give on a Tour. Don't expect either some serious and well behaved perfomance, simply because her music is not like that. Yes, you'll see a lot of cursing and sexual dancing, angry expressions and political positions... if you don't like this, than you don't like her music! And if don't like her music, why the hell would you watch her show expecting to like it? IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE.

I believe that most of the people giving 1 star is actually judging Beyoncé musically and personally. Not the film.

I really enjoyed her performance specially when in comparison to other artists perfomance on Coachella.

The only problem i see here, it's because Netflix promoted this as a documentary, and this is not it. This is just a concert, with a few backstage scenes!! So if you watched lady's Gaga's "five foot two", and thought this would be similar... forget about it! The film is just like those DVDs we used to buy at the supermarket with a concert of our favorite artist... and then played it at home once we were having a dinner party.

THATS IT AND ITS GOOD just good

Go ahead and watch it with the right expectations.
