A story about a mute girl and a fish man wanting to smash
22 April 2018
Honestly it was a really good movie. It has a very childish theme to it, but in an adult content setting. Something you wouldn't expect to work, but it did.

I don't get the bad reviews. It was a different kind of movie with a happy ending that delivered a pretty good message that love knows no bounds. Yeah the fish man wasn't the most attractive, but the main character didn't care about that. They were both lacking something and they gave each other what the other was missing.

It was a super sweet movie and I even got to laugh a couple of times. It deserves the Oscars it got and everyone who disagrees honestly just needs to get their heads out of their butts. This isn't a movie that goes "YAY BEASTIALITY" it's a movie that promotes love past looks.

A solid must watch

You absolutely have to see this movie. It really highlights the problems in the South and how racism was such a common theme back then (and maybe even to some extent today). The ending will make you so angry, but make you cry as well.

The acting was extraordinary, the camera work really captivated how the characters felt and made us relate to them really well so we could understand why they felt like they did. Every scene has purpose.

It truly is something you just have to experience. I can't put it into words.

Revolt (2017)

An absolute disaster
22 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Boy, where do I even begin. First of all, cliche central. If cliches is one of your pet peeves, avoid this movie at all costs. Now, the actual movie.

The main protagonist does not remember his name or what he was doing over there in Kenya, but he remembers how to properly gear up like a soldier, change a tire and the fact that a local military base has contact with the Pentagon. Makes -perfect- sense.

You can't relate to the two protagonists at all (who, of course, hate each other at the start, but make out in the end). They make such stupid decisions and are out of character constantly. To name one, after being ambushed by bandits twice, they abandon their weapons only to be ambushed again, but having nothing to fight back with. Nice.

The main guy also gets a wooden stick up his upper leg at one point. Nothing a few hours of rest and a bandage can't heal, right?

This movie is absolutely awful. When the main characters are a man and a woman they of course have to kiss in the end. The African rebel forces charge towards big alien machines that have the capability of killing them instantly. Can't be an action movie without a British character.

I'm having a hard time explaining just how much I hate this movie. It's awful. Avoid watching it, much less paying for it. The title is true to its name - Revolt(ing).

Zootopia (2016)

An absolute masterpiece

Disney strikes again with a simply astonishing movie. To start off, I would recommend ANYONE to go watch this movie. This is a movie for anyone of any age.

The city of Zootropolis is a busy metropolis with animals instead of humans running the city. Deep beneath its shiny surface, it doesn't turn out to be as glamorous as it leaves the first impression.

The story focuses on two characters, Nick and Judy, a fox and a rabbit. The unlikely pair work together to solve the disappearance of 14 citizens of Zootropolis. During their adventures, we learn of Judy's and Nick's background and where they come from to where they are today.

The movie is graphically most certainly impressive and the audio is simply a treat to the ears. Especially with Shakira's song cover. It's a simply fantastic movie, filled with humor that would make anyone laugh. And there are heart warming moments too that really make you fall in love with the characters who the story evolves around.

Watch-able?
22 October 2015
I didn't expect much from this movie. In fact, the only reason why I went to watch it was because of Vin Diesel.

It's another one of those Hollywood cliché filled movies. Don't expect much of a storyline other than bad things happened to my family, I became a witch hunter, defied death and killed witches. It's just filled with moments you know exactly how they're going to turn out if you've seen any other movie from Hollywood.

The visual effects were good enough. And the actors played their role. The plot has so much potential. Something like knights of the round table dedicated to incarcerating witches for using black magic. It's a nice idea but poorly executed since the idea is crushed half way into the movie.

Go see it if you like 21st century shotgun + sword action and Vin Diesel. Otherwise stay way from it.

What's going on?
17 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
So start off, the movie isn't bad. In fact, it's well acted out, well edited and the stunts and everything are really good. What bothers me, however, is the story.

For one, it's filled with cliché's (including a German evil man who wants to take over the world). Secondly, it doesn't even go with the story set by the video games. Why is Diana some Asian chick with an accent? In the games, she's clearly got a British accent and she's not Asian. Why does 47 go loud in almost every situation? Why is the same guy who was killed in the beginning of Hit-man: Contracts being killed again in this movie?

These questions ruin the entire movie for me. I don't understand. Is this some parallel universe story thing going on or what?

I'm only giving this a six because the actors did an amazing job as well as the people involved in recording and and editing. The people who created the script need to pick up copies of the entire Hit-man franchise and play through them before they make another movie.
