xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017)
Heavy handed politics ruined it
I get it, liberals rum Hollywood. And usually I'm fine with some politic correctness or opposing points of view, but it was just preachy. He steals cable to stick it to the man? Throws decorated soldiers out of am airplane because they don't ride bicycles? His sniper friend is an animal rights activists that's shoots big game hunters? Right. Movies are about suspension of disbelief. You lost me 25 minutes into the movie. I'm out.
Away: Goodnight Mars (2020)
Fire Emma
Basically an endictment of a mother in command. I've known lots of women in the military (and Command) that can separate their duty from their emotions. Emma is not it. As Commander, you don't get to despair and hide in your room. You have to suck it up and figure it out for the sake of your crew. Because they are more important than you or your feelings. Period.
Anatomy of a Scandal (2022)
Good show. Ridiculous ending ruins it!
Great writing and acting. Good twists and turns had me excited to see how it ends. The tragedy of the jerk getting acquitted was believable but the ending derailed the whole thing. You really expect me to believe that this woman willfully destroys her family/future/children's future because her husband wasn't fully honest with her about a tragic night 20 years ago?? And she used the press to make a political coup as the vehicle of her self immolation? Suspension of disbelief gone. Either that or I really don't understand women.
Anatomy of a Scandal: Episode #1.6 (2022)
Good series. Ridiculous ending ruined it!
It was a great show with excellent writing and twists that kept us guessing but ending is garbage. Do you really expect me to believe that this woman will trash her marriage/family/children's future because her husband didn't tell her the whole truth until the last episode. Then she weaponizes it in the press for some the of political move? So stupid. I was fine with the tragic ending where the jerk gets off based on the merits of the case, but come on man!
The Blacklist: Gordon Kemp (No. 158) (2020)
No more woke BS
Stupid episode. Even if i agreed with the premise, why would anyone use Reddington as an advocate against guns? How many people has he shot in this show? Completely tone deaf hypocrisy. And Liz only gets more annoying the way she betrays her team and then has the nerve to be annoyed at Cooper.
