Only Murders in the Building (2021)
I'm liking it.
I'm currently watching season 3 CoBro and I can't help but wonder why don't we know what happened to Mabes past seasons lovers, season 1 Jacob and no mention of him season 2 or 3 (so far) and season 2 she had a girlfriend (I don't remember her name) and no mention in season 3 (so far) so what the heck happened to them? They still mention Jane in all these seasons. I know it's a weird thing to bother me. She has a new lover in every season so far. Season 1 is by far my favorite season 3 is better than season 2 by far. Towards the end of season 2 I was just anxious for it to end. It was dragging on so much. It was a great storyline just to much filler scenes that drag on and adds nothing to the point of the show. They could have done part as the opening 5 min of the episode and continued on with the the actual plot. Some of the acting/tones can sound very disinterested and unengaging like they're just there reading their lines and not acting the part. Majority of this happens in season 2.
Those are my only issues that get under my skin. This show is great, I can't wait for season 4 hints, if you find the first episode slow going don't give up. Every show takes a few episodes to get their footing. They can keep you guessing on the real killer, you think oh my goodness that's them that is definitely them and they prove it's not them and then they go back and improve oh it is still in this whole entire time. Oh and the guest stars that they have in here season 3 is just perfect. Paul Rudd plays someone (Ben) that is so unlike his usual characters. I will continue to add or change my review as I watch more.
Only Murders in the Building: Flipping the Pieces (2022)
Slow
I don't know how this episode has such good ratings. For me it felt like a 3-hour long episode. Dragged on so much, I Loved the part with Theo and mable but it didn't need to be that long. I just feel like this episode was a filler, they needed an extra episode so they threw this one in here to have all they needed to complete the season. For me the only thing that was interesting was the ending. So far season 1 was way better I feel like they're trying to hard on a lot of these episodes but at least they held my attention for more than 5 minutes, unlike this one. Lucy I was very dull, there's so much that's happened to her in this episode but dang she was very dull. Theo had great facial reactions, luckily the detective made an appearance she brought some life into a very dull episode.
Weeds (2005)
Gah all over.
First off I cannot stand the intro I really wish I didn't have that damn intro every time you watch an episode. There's no skip intro button on Hulu. This show is good enough to have on as background noise. Some of the acting in this show is not very good, the lead actress in my opinion is not a very good actress and that is kind of ruining it for me I don't know if she's like purposely doing this but it's a little annoying. And then having the oldest kid Silas is not a good storyline in my opinion again all this is in my opinion. The writers did horrible with him I hope it gets better Conrad is one of my favorite ones and I know he's going to be gone soon as he's not in the promotional posters. I do enjoy Andy but I think Silas is definitely extremely annoyingly written. Like they just made him way too freaking whiny and I know he's there to make things harder for his mom and yada yada yada but dang did he have to be so annoying to do it.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Um what's going on?
I did some research to see if anyone else is suffering the same issue I'm having that there is a way to fix it. I have zero subtitles so I can't figure out what the heck is happening I can't hear the whispering I cannot understand the sign language and there is no way for me to get subtitles on this movie. I was able to get the first one after several renting fails. So I bought them and now I can't even watch the second time how do I fix this who knows? That's why I gave it the five stars because it looks good but who knows. Okay I need to have 70 more characters so I can submit this here we go.
Girlboss (2017)
So much potential
I think the show could have been great but it just fell flat, it was boring. I wanted to get into it, I tried so hard to get into it but man it moves so slow and just dwells on one thing for too long. Reading the Wikipedia page about Sophia the actual person was more exciting than this TV show. Well my review is to short. Sophia says that her life was just like the show. Maybe that was the issue perhaps she should have backed away from the TV show and let the writers do their thing which is you know embellish add some excitement and drama but still tell her story. I think the most exciting part for me personally was the flashback on how she meets her best friend which surprise surprise, it's not part of the book, it was not the real Sophia's best friend, she is not based on anybody in Sophia's life. It asks me does this review contain spoilers? You cannot spoil this show there's literally no spoilers out there that will ruin the show for somebody that's how little excitement is in this show. Again my opinion.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Love love love it.
I was not disappointed at all. A lot of people go into this movie expecting the 1980s version. Can't do that. Yes it's part of the franchise but it's also its own story. Everything comes together so nicely. I'm so grateful they did it like this instead of another remake. I'll definitely be watching this one again. Of course Paul Rudd brings humor to this movie just like all his movies. And the ending, oh the ending, its beautiful, priceless. Just do not forget this is its own story in the Ghostbusters franchise so do not expect the old stuff.
Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (2012)
Can't take it serious
Have come across a lot of reviews where they take this show way too seriously. What's a TV show not a actual person giving the kid an alcoholic beverage. Yes there are people out there who sadly do that but this is a TV show not real life, You can't go in judging this TV show based off of something like that. I really enjoyed the show I wish they had more of a chance to show us where it was going. With them getting canceled halfway through in season two they had to rush the ending, which really brought this whole entire show down. At least they got to get an ending unlike some TV shows that leave us on a cliffhanger and we never get to figure out what's going to happen.
Gilmore Girls: 'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous (2006)
Emily was the only good thing about this episode
Thank goodness for Kelly Bishop, Emily storyline was the only redeeming storyline in this episode. Lorelei and Christopher never should have happened.
The Haunting of Bly Manor: The Romance of Certain Old Clothes (2020)
Waste of time
Do yourself a favor, watch the first 5 min and the last 7 minutes of this episode and all will be clear. This episode was a complete waste of time and effort. Although if you're a fan of repetitive statement/actions by all means watch it through. Then sleep and wake and watch and then sleep and wake and watch and then sleep and wake and watch. I can get into any TV show or movie if it's on the TV I'm going to watch it and get into it but with this one I was so bored it took me a couple of hours to get through it.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008)
Cheesy? Yes, as expected
If you're new to the show it is very cheesy indeed. The acting is supposed to be horrible just like 7th heaven. The actors over act and it can be annoying, just like Brenda Compton's other shows. Watching Ricky grow up and mature is my favorite part. Every episode has a "moral of the story" to tell. Just don't go into this show expecting something serious.
