The Orville: Majority Rule (2017)
Cancel-culture is bad.
They really want you to apply this to cancel-culture. Like, really bad. They had to make the metaphor as explicit as possible, even putting it in essentially modern day to really make you not have to think to compare it. This episode was lazy as hell, and the only people who enjoyed it only did so because it "dares to criticize cancel culture".
I saw another review say "this episode flew over people's head". There's no way. It's constantly smacking you along side the head with it's heavy-handed themes about cancel-culture.
Politics has always been a part of Star Trek, the inspiration for this show, but it has never been this heavy-handed in its metaphors or this lazy in its writing.
This episode was boring, lazy, and my last straw for the series.
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan (2019)
Like Until Dawn, but boring and half-baked
The choices are good and seem to matter, but the setting is really boring and there's never any surprising revelations or anything.
It gets the job done, but I'd recommend Until Dawn above it.
Horse Girl (2020)
Beautiful
The acting, writing, and directing are all top notch. I'm surprised by the negative reviews on here because it's genuinely really good.
Klaus (2019)
Great animation. Fine story
The animation was beautiful. When most Christmas animation looks the same, it was great to have one this stunning.
I definitely liked the beginning of the story better than the end, as it went from charming and unique to pretty generic. Still, it was really good, especially for a Christmas movie.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 13: The Jedi (2020)
Wowowow Dave Filoni at his best
Everything about this episode is incredible!
I would recommend watching The Clone Wars and Rebels before this episode, as it references a few characters from those series. But it is completely enjoyable and understandable without.
Best episode of the mandalorian so far
The Mandalorian: Chapter 11: The Heiress (2020)
LETS GOOOOOOO
Man this episode was incredible. Action packed with a great story and a return of an amazing character from The Clone Wars and Rebels
The 100: Blood Giant (2020)
In a show full of poor decisions, this had the worst
This shlw has always had bad character deaths (ex. Lexa, Lincoln) but damn they outdid themselves this time.
Left Behind (2014)
Putting the God in God Awful
Everyone involved in this movie should maybe change career paths because every aspect was just horrible.
For your own sake, don't watch this movie. Save your time, money, and sanity
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (2018)
Terrible movie with even worse messaging
This movie essentially glorifies catfishing. Like, the characters of course know its wrong, but they do it anyway and it works out. 0/10 on all accounts
Palm Springs (2020)
Really really good
Uses the time loop trope in creative ways and is both funny and emotional.
The Twilight Zone: Among the Untrodden (2020)
Must Watch
This is the best episode of the series. It's clever in its foreshadowing and turns cliches on their heads. I really enjoyed this one and hope more future episodes follow suit.
The Twilight Zone: A Small Town (2020)
Entertaining but not unique
It's certainly not a new idea, and the majority of the plot beats were pretty predictable. Still, I had a good time watching it
The Twilight Zone: You Might Also Like (2020)
Confusing with a disappointing payoff
The majority of this episode was just weird things happening as a hook to try to get us curious about what is going on. Unfortunately, the answer is really stupid and only answers a few of the many questions this episode creates.
The Twilight Zone: 8 (2020)
Dumb but fun
This episode was absurd and objectively terrible. I loved it.
The Twilight Zone: Downtime (2020)
Best so far
I was just about to stop watching after a few bad episodes at the end of the first season, but this season has started very well! They've returned the creativity that was missing in the first season.
The Guest (2014)
A fun time
This is really good for a B movie and is a ton of fun.
Don't expect high budget writing, but its honestly a blast.
The Last of Us: Part II (2020)
A good game, but far from a masterpiece.
The gameplay is fun, the acting is great, and the visuals are pretty.
The story has good moments, but it seems to not understand its own characters and leans heavily on its generic themes.
There are plot twists fans of the first game will absolutely hate, but even ignoring those, the story is just messy.
Its certainly worth a play, but don't get too excited about the story.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Victory and Death (2020)
A perfect finale to a great show
The episode was beautiful and finishes up the arc well. I agree that there are still a few character arcs left to resolve, but overall I'm happy. The last few scenes were truly stunning.
The Darkness (2016)
Garbage
It seems like the writers just took two things they couldn't understand and didn't want to research, autism and native American culture, and stuck them together. This movie didn't understand either. It's offensive and terribly written. It's also super slow boring and predictable. I've never rated a movie this low.
