The Covenant (2023)
Terrible acting and script
This was a huge disappointment to me. I really hoped this film would live up to the hype.
The trailer looked great, I'm not usually a huge jake gyllenhall fan, but I thought he looked good in the trailer.
What a mistake, the acting is abysmal. The actors really didn't seem to buy into the script or the storyline.
Jake gyllenhall did not sell himself as a soldier at all.
As ex forces myself, I was seriously disappointed with the military adviser on this film. They clearly don't know how forces actually perform. An unbelievable story, a badly written script, poor acting. A story that didn't sell the characters. I just didn't care what happened to them.
Extraction 2 (2023)
If you plan to watch this....extract yourself!
For anyone thinking of watching this film, extract yourself from the situation immediately.
Absolute garbage. The first film was watchable if a little over the top. This film is a mess of over the top action scenes that go on for so long you lose interest.
The special effects are diabolical. The enemy is some sort of small army with an air force and highly trained special forces. Which they apparently have an endless supply of.
The storyline is a mess, totally beyond the realms of believability. The actors don't seem to buy into the script. They just go through the motions. Don't believe the hype.
Finding Michael (2023)
Rich kid wants a trip to Everest
I have always been fascinated by Mount Everest, that is why I decided to give this one a watch.
In my opinion, this was all about a rich, pretentious man child doing whatever he could to revive his dwindling time on our TV screens.
It was a non starter as far as the search went. A random, shady photo of a dead body, this could be Michael starts off a search that could risk the lives of a whole group of climbers. Completely unnecessary, especially considering Michael hadn't been since in over two decades. Morbid and insensitive.
Skip past this one when scrolling through Disney for your next watch.
Lost on Everest (2020)
Just a paid trip to the sunmit
This group of nobodies falsely claimed to be searching for Andy Irvine, instead, they were on a paid expedition to summit everest and claim they were searching for Andy Irvine.
Pathetic, all has been done before.
Battlefield Recovery (2016)
Amateur imbeciles
These guys are a joke. None of them have any idea regarding real military history or archeology. Some of their actions are disgracefully dangerous.
Hurricane (2018)
Atrocious film in every aspect
By far one of the worst films I have seen in years.
The CGI is probably the worst I have seen from any WW2 movie.
For a WW2 fighter film, just watch the 1969 classic Battle of Britain.
Seeing real planes in action is far superior to watching cartoon like CGI.
Soupçons (2004)
Shocking bias
The programme made for riveting watching. The trial episodes especially were captivating, however, if you want to know the truth, the full truth, that this programme decided wasn't relevant to us viewers, then do some research. Read some of the books.
The programme decided to leave out most if not all of the details that would prove as damning evidence in court.
This was a murder, the only question is, was it Michael Peterson or one of his sons?
