Why so bad ?

A very bad horror movie.

Don't waste your time, nothing make sense, nothing is scary, nothing is done with intelligence.

The creature is average and borderline ridiculous, the effect are almost none existent, the story is pure crap.

The acting is the worst part of the movie, the man who plays the professor seems to be under the influence of alcohol. The main role made me laugh with so much bad acting at certain point.

The story, man the story, nothing make sense, most of the time the movie doesn't now where to go and seems to grab on to anything that comes to mind, ANYTHING, any clichés, anything seen and seen again and again in every horror movie.

The accessories are very funny, they must have had a good price on Halloween plastic skeletons ...

Absolutely no new ideas or interesting concepts, only a bunch of people trying very hard to be scary with a story as thin as toiletpaper.

I'm ashamed to be french.

The Prestige (2006)

Such a DUUUUUUUMMMMMBBB movie !

This movie is an insult to intelligence.

If we admit that the cloning machine exists then why in the world would he have to kill himself ? Why would he have to clone himself every time in front of everybody knowing that he already has a perfect double if he doesn't kill it !!

He just has to clone himself one time only !!

Why would he bother having a new aquarium for each representations ? And why does he keep the dead clone in the end ?

And especially ESCPECIALLY the teleporting man is supposed to be the most amazing trick of all time, well it's not, if I personally witness such a trick I would yawn to death.

This movie is dumb to the max, almost everything is rushed, for example I was particularly shocked with the suicide scene. It takes like 10 second : you see the wife looking at bird and next second she is hanging at the ceiling and again the next scene they are talking happily about the suicide... It was so rushed that I had to pause and watch it again thinking I missed a capital clue... But no, just bad bad character development.

Holy Shit! (2022)

beyond bad

Incoherent, very bad acting, borderline ridiculous, don't waste your time !!

Nothing work, everything this person does is stupid, the situation is stupid, the acting is beyon bad. The story, oh my god the story !

A lot of time some very short moments are not so bad, very reminiscent of "Evil dead" and the Sam Raimi's style, but so briefly that it really doesn't make this movie better. The gore is maybe the best part of this movie.

They could have gone full "Evil dead", with slapstick dark humor and over the top situations but no, instead they stupidly tried to make it realistic and that's where everything fall apart.

Everything is boring nothing make sense, even in the stupid universe the story take place.

Don't waste your time and watch "Glorious" instead.

That's a way better movie with a guy locked in a toilet...

Hagazussa (2017)

Beyond slow

Not one single action in this movie is made at a normal pace.

Everything.... is..... beyond..... slooooooow.

I don't recommend this movie excepted if you are into very, very, very slow movie. It's gorgeous and very well filmed, but man the story is so boring.

She is supposed to be a witch, but doesn't do anything witchy, maybe once but with no explanations and (i think) without consequences ?

Why would you want to do such a movie ? Why not put a little bit of action in it ? Just enough so you don't fall asleep.

If you want witches i recommend to watch an astounding witch movie instead : You won't be alone.

Swallowed (2022)

Don't waste your time !!

Very very very bad, nothing work, the story is so lame.

They have no idea how the human body work, no you can't swallow something and expect it to go out 1 hour later... No you can't reach for something someone has swallowed just a few hour before only with your fingers, do they even know the human anatomy ?

And for the only thing that people would want to see the movie : the bugs, you won't have any explanation, not even what they do to your brain exactly, a little view of the trip they induce would have been a must, but no.

As for the female character every time she hold a gun it's just laughable... This movie is very dumb, the only reason why you would want to watch this dull movie is for the gay nudity if you are into that.

Do not waste your time with this totally boring movie.

This show has always been a moron indicator for me !

You like this show ? Really ? Ok then let's take your number out of my repertory right now... The only episodes i've watch was to be sure that there is no final surprising twist, or maybe something i didn't get.

I've never even smiled once, at the opposite i really feel like i've lost life point watching this "thing".

It's important to remind yourself that some people had waken up early in the morning and put some effort in order to create "this". They have watch their work at the end of the days with pride thinking that they have done something watchable.

I didn't knew that you can have a normal life with the brain of a chicken inside your skull...

nonsensical, stupid, boring and long

What a boring stupid movie !!

The beginning is just endlessssssss and when the action start everything is totally stupid, 1h40 before something almost interesting. Nothing make sense, nothing is remotely funny, the characters are stupids and the general story is very uninteresting.

I put 3 stars for 2 scenes only, the blood bath with the little girl at the beginning and the five seconds colorful cartoon killing scene at the end.

I don't understand the good rating, it doesn't deserve it.

Don't waste your time and go watch a good movie like "Ichi the killer", "Old boy" or more recently "The sadness" if you're into gore stuff, those are really really good movies !

Smile (V) (2022)

It tries so hard to be "It Follows"...

A psychiatrist acting like a total lunatic without an ounce of reflection or distance about her state of mind... Talking to people like someone who has absolutely no idea on how the human mind work. The best example is the moment where she shout to her husband that she is not crazy. That got me out of the film right away... Does she really have to say crazy things all the time ? Could she for example be a little bit smart about it and talke let's say, about collective hallucination, inconscious hypnosis or any BS like that ?? No instead we have "I'm possessed by this thing BUT IT'S NOT ME, please believe me... BELIEVE ME RIGHT KNOW !!!!" The second huge mistake is the cop being grossed out by what he sees on the computer... THIS IS IS JOB, he see that 8 hours a day... Seing those "professionnals" the doc and the cop reacting is like watching a butcher being grossed out by roadkill... IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE !!

The dream in front of the hospital in her car had me facepalm.

It took her 1h30 to realize what any working brain had in mind at 30mn of the movie, that you have to be alone in a FRIENDLY place without anything to hurt you with. And just keep ignoring anything that is not usual. And that's all you'll be fine. But no until the end she keep overacting in front of anything she sees.

The entire scene in her childhood house is ridiculous. The monster has so much "IT 2" vibes : "too make it scarier just make it bigger !"... No, just no.

Nothing work and that's where i laugh out loud several times, the only good moment is at 1h48 of the movie, don't blink because you'll miss it.

The end is beyond stupid, not achieving a single thing, leaving the story at the exact same point where it begin, with NONE of the character having evolve in any way other than the very very very boring rules of this curse/demon/alien/MST/BS.

I was so bored that i started writting this review at the middle of the movie... Don't waste your time and rewatch "It follows" instead.

Kin-dza-dza! (1986)

OMFG !!

Reading the low star commentary made me laugh, i can very firmly say that if you don't like this movie then you just didn't get 95% of it.

This movie is above smart, it's above satirical, it's above humour. It takes those three things, combine them and metamorph them into something hardly descriptible, like explaining the color red to a born blind person.

Exactly how Tomato juice and beef create a new flavor : UMAMI.

This movie is the UMAMI of cinema. It leave an indicible taste on your virgin brain.

I thought about this movie over and over for the longest time i've ever experienced with any movies before. The depth of the satire is almost unbearable, everything in this movie and i insist EVERYTHING has a double, triple, quadruple intellectual political societal meaning will having an totally coocoo funny shell to it.

A once in a lifetime discovery that you can easily miss if you happen to judge the first layer only.

By the way i liked it a lot, in case you missed that part.

La traversée (2022)

Pretty good for a french comedy !

The recent palmares of French comedy is appalling. The large majorities are very boring, not funny, childish, badly written and for some exception : all at the time... The best of the best goes to "Bigbug" made by one of my favorite director, writter producer with some of my favorites movies of all times "Delicatessen" (OMFG !! If you haven't seen this one and like WTF movies you have to see this masterpiece !) "La cité des enfants perdus" : JP. Jeunet . And in his last opus nothing work and you can apply methodically absolutely ALL of the previously announced defaults... I stop here.

But this movie doesn't try to be funny at all cost, it just take it's time to make you really appreciate and understand the characters. It try to keep it low, simple and effective. Some of the "joke" can be missed if you don't pay attention. It's very very cool to be treated like smart people, us the audience !

And man oh man the characters are not what you would think they are, they are all lovable, cute and funny !

The story keep it simple until the end, no big twist, no revelation... juste life with intelligently written characters living small adventures we can all relate with.

Really liked this movie and i think you will too !

Final Cut (2022)

But why ?

It's a remake from a pretty good Japanese movie.

But in this one NOTHING work !

The first 15 minutes is the worst sequence shot i've ever seen in my life. Where nothing work and you can see that they are trying to be funny, but aren't.

And then all the rest of the movie is just explaining WHY oh why the first 15 minutes where soooo bad. Ok, but that doesn't make the opening of the movie better !! That doesn't make the movie better !

More than half of the second part of the movie is a replay of the first scene, and a lot of character says that what they see with the feedback monitor of the sequence shot during the shooting is very bad ! So why put it in the movie ? Why not trying to do something funny in the first place ?

The worst thing in this movie is that a lot of people, Romain Duris the first, SHOUT all the time, they don't talk loud, no, they just SHOUT !!

Very disappointed.

Big Bug (2022)

How did it get funded ?

The more i watched this movie the more i was saying to myself : Ok this is for a young audience, like 15 or 14 years old... 10 minutes later : Well it's more for 9 or 10 years old.

Again 10 minutes later : maybe a 5 years old would enjoy that ?

Nothing, i say NOTHING work, the characters are gringe to the max, the situations are just absurds, the plot is written by a 3 years old, the "jokes" are so so so low that you have to make an effort to understand that they are jokes...

Oh my god, do not waste one minute of your precious life on this movie.
