Nostalgic and Inspirational
24 January 2023
Cleverly edited clips from Michael J. Fox's career, juxtaposed against new interviews and insights create a feeling of nostalgia and inspiration. The editing, the pace, and the revelations from Michael brought the crowd to laughter and tears.

MJFox the man is greater than MJFox the amazing and talented actor I grew up with, as a kid watching Back to the Future and Teen Wolf. The most inspirational human and a phenomenal film. That's what I felt watching Davis Guggenheim's gem at Sundance. Major congratulations to Mr. Guggenheim, his editor, the entire team, and especially Michael J. Fox.

I can't wait to watch it again.

3rd Act does the heavy lifting
13 September 2021
An entertaining third act wasn't enough to make me love this film. Additionally, playing dramatic/suspenseful music, doesn't equate to visually achieving drama and suspense.

I wanted to love this so much more than I did.

Structurally inconsistent peppered with great Tones of Tarantino
10 November 2020
I had the pleasure of working with Jake Brendan Taylor on my feature film a few years ago, so I was excited to check him out in a leading role in CHOP CHOP. Did the film have some structural, sound, and edit inconsistencies, sure, but I found Jake to have an engaging presence on screen, which kept me watching. With tones of Tarantino peppered in, the film will leave you with some head scratching moments, but you may also enjoy the ride. Many of the terrible reviewers here have no idea what an accomplishment it is to bring a completely indie film to distribution. I commend the entire team behind CHOP CHOP for their achievement, and look forward to seeing more of JAKE BRENDAN TAYLOR's work in the future.

Humbled by the support!
17 August 2020
We set out to make a very powerful, personal film. I am humbled by the kind words, reactions, and feedback we have received from all over the world! This film is about a group of lifelong friends, completely produced, written, and executed by those same lifelong friends. Thank you for checking us out, and please continue to spread the word of our small, but powerful indie coming of age drama! Inspire, tell stories, do what you love! ROCKAWAY!

A Collection of Punchlines
13 June 2020
This felt as if each scene was more interested in serving a singular punchline than moving any characters, plot, or story forward. The collections of punchlines were then strung together to formulate a narrative.

Caught this at Sundance
3 March 2020
I remember seeing this title at Sundance in 2018. Outside of needing some editing in the second Act, I thought it was an extremely moving and solid film. Garrett Hedlund is mesmerizing in his performance, and I especially enjoy stories that are based on true events. Courage, love, and redemption. Thank you Mr. Hedlund. I look forward to your future projects, and maybe we will work together one day. Highly recommend this film.
