The Wheel of Time (2021)
What an interesting world!
I've never read the books, but now I kinda wish that I had.
The first three episodes got me hooked to say the least, which is probably the goal of releasing three episodes at once so you get a "feel" on the world.
This is high fantasy with some really deep worldbuilding just waiting to be unraveled. I keep wondering like "what's that about?", "who's that?", "what in the world is THAT?!" and in general I feel like the show does a very good job of showing, as well as telling.
The pace is a little bit off, quite noticeable in the first episode. This seems to be due to time constrains and the episode might have done better if it was longer. However, there was enough time for me to understand and get to know the story and general plot, as well as the characters! I love the characters! The cast is perfect as far as I can tell, and the characters they play are really interesting.
What makes them interesting is, without delving into spoiler territory, the mental part. Like, what's going on in their heads? There's some real personality at display, and that's what makes a great character.
I had to look up a few elements of the first episode because the opening scene had me a bit confused, including the next scene after that, but once that was sorted, I am now ready for more.
Finally, I want to make a statement about why I think it's a 9/10.
It's a bit hard, keeping it spoiler free - but if you like mysterious, high fantasy worlds with magics (like REAL magic, epic fantasy magic) with some interesting political structures (due to the effect of this magic and how it is "achieved", again, the worldbuilding is really great here) to experience, along with some characters who feel "real", I can recommend this with great confidence!
The different areas shown throughout these first three episodes, especially two and three - great stuff! I think I might need to find the books because I need more... I'm amazed! I didn't think this show would be THAT good.

Great humor and characters! Good movie overall!
First I want to say that I'm not a professional reviewer but I found one review here kinda misleading (after my opinion).
I thought the kind of humor they used in this movie was great! It actually rewards you if you follow the dialogues closely by using "in-jokes". The quality is excellent and the characters fit with the actors really well, so it renders an exclusive atmosphere for the audience.
The overall plot can be predictable, but there's a lot of plot points which makes you unsure about how this all will end.
I would recommend this movie to everybody who feels like they want to watch a good and fun comedy movie. This movie was really enjoyable.
