Detective Knight: Rogue (2022)
Unfair to Willis and viewers
The movie may have been cast and filmed before it was known Bruce Willis had dementia, but the signs were there. Continuing to cast him in movies is cruel on him and people watching.
Not only that, but to have him supported by cast that simply could not act makes things much worse. Beau Mirchoff was serviceable, but the rest were C grade at best, some of which need subtitles to understand!
Outside of the Knight and Rhodes character there was zero character development.
The biggest plot hole being Knight's flashbacks of his dad being shot by Leech. This happened when Knight was a toddler. Yet when Knight shoots Leech, he is clearly older than him.
Just a C grade movie that unbelievably produced 2 sequels.
Halloween (2007)
As a remake, just putrid
Another of example of having the money to produce movies, doesn't mean you should!
The same ingredient from a standard Rob Zombie movie that don't give this a good chance, the acting. Casting your wife in every movie is just cruel.
You would think Malcolm McDowell might add a little credibility, but it was quite the opposite. Granted it is a tough ask to follow Donald Pleansance, but it was almost as if he tried too hard. The over acting was clear from the start and only got worse.
It wasn't a complete waste. Giving a little of the origin story was a nice touch. It humanised Michael (which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it). But that's about as far as the good points go unfortunately.
If you're a fan of the Halloween series, avoid this at all costs!
The Misfits (2021)
Horrible acting..
Why cast actors who can't act??
Nick Cannon was horrible! I couldn't concentrate on anything in the movie he was that bad! Just terrible!
Not sure if they were hoping Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth would distract from the bad acting, but unfortunately it didn't. I see other reviews commentating about the other supporting cast, but I didn't have an issue with them. Jabar, Corfield, Chung and Angelo were up to the task, unfortunately the weak link was Cannon. This has become a bashing of him, but it is what it is. He should stick to hosting AGT!!
Add to that the completely unoriginal storyline and this is 90 or so minutes I'll never get back.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Just plain bad...
What made these movies great were how they were connected and the clever twists. This one had neither! It has none of the psychological thrills of the others, just rushed kills, with a predictable ending.
Chris Rock as the lead was a huge mistake also. Not the least bit convincing. Not all comics can work in serious roles, and this movie proves Chris Rock definitely can't!
By the end, I'm left wondering what was the point? I get his motivation, but surely it was obvious that a cop that was clean his whole career wouldn't be party to killing dirty cops? So why make him the centre of it all? Too many plot holes. Time I won't get back.
Murder, She Wrote: The Survivor (1993)
But thin...
The episode was entertaining enough. While it is a bad idea to be too critical of the plot, or expecting it to be too realistic, Jessica discovering the murderer purely because he drove a red car was a bit of a stretch!
Deadlock (2021)
TV static would be more entertaining
Quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen... storyline had potential, but other than that, your time would be better spent mowing your lawn with a pair of scissors.
Riverdale: Chapter One Hundred: The Jughead Paradox (2021)
Finally! A decent episode!
I'm not sure if I'm rating it a 10 because the others were so bad, but I really enjoyed this episode.
Bringing back previously departed characters can be seen as cheesy, but if so, CHESSE ME UP! The Reggies... brilliant!!
Riverdale: Chapter Ninety-Four: Next to Normal (2021)
Mind blowing
I just don't understand how anyone, at any level, could have spent time and money making a show/episode like this and stand back thinking "Yep.. we've nailed that!"
Final nail in coffin more like it!
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
Horrible
I understand this is a high budget movie, but there are limits.. the constant screaming from the leading actress is enough to make you want to turn it off!
American Horror Stories (2021)
Awful...
Just plain bad... If you're expecting anything close to the American Horror Story series, don't waste your time!
Wild 'N Out (2005)
Diversity anyone?
If you're looking for diversity, probably look elsewhere....
But if you like the same thing over and over, this is for you!
Puppet Master: Axis Termination (2017)
Just bad...
I love the Puppet Master series, but this is just plain bad. I get this trilogy isn't to be taken seriously, but there are limits. Do yourself a favour and stick with the original 3 movies!!
Best part of the movie? The closing credits.
