Set It Up (2018)
Cute, funny, enjoyed cast for the 2 assistants
Cute, funny, enjoyed cast for the 2 assistants, enjoyed the concept. Downers: some language, over-the-top extremes of particularly the male boss. Not enough romantic comedies being made like "The Notebook," leaving Romcom fans starving for that quality and depth.
Game Night (2018)
Great movie! Language? Really?! Foul language takes away!
Great movie! Delightful and hilarious. But language? Really?! Foul language takes away! Hollywood, will you EVER get it that unnecessary objectionable language limits our ability to recommend a movie to our friends or watch an otherwise good movie with our children? Most of these movies are aired on a TV network at some point where they edit out a lot of this foul language, so don't hide behind the "artistic license" argument. That doesn't hold water with me. I watched this on Amazon Prime and I can choose "closed captioned." It would be REALLY SIMPLE to also add an option to choose a version of the movie approximating the TV edited version. The technology is there and this movie was wonderfully funny with a great cast and great storyline, but there is a sizable public out here that really doesn't like enduring a surprise "F-bomb" or God's name taken in vain. Please, Hollywood, expand your market to accommodate decency and allow us to recommend otherwise good movies by giving us at least an option (or, heretical idea: clean it up yourself!)
Return to Me (2000)
Among my favorite all time movies
Movie hits it on all levels! Well produced and directed, great acting. Great story line (totally hits close to home in my life as I lost my wife of 32 years and God brought a new love into my life miraculously). Hits all the emotions, but actually very uplifting and hilarious.
An Inconvenient Truth (2006)
Fiction passed off as science
This film makes a mockery of real science, cherry picking only data that fits a prescribed political agenda, costing our government billions of dollars is wasted expenditure and lining Al Gore's pockets with hundreds of millions of dollars. If you love fictional horror flicks, you may like this film.
