Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
They turned the great Ghostbusters franchise into a poorly written kids show.
I remember when the 1st movie came out. It was a bit adult themed, especially for its time,1984. This movie isn't a bad children's movie, its just a children's movie. Even at that, I wish it were the ghosts that were the unrealistic part. The writing really could be better.
The "very shy" girl walks in the teachers office and starts questioning him and makes a friend, right away. The Mom and teacher have a bond immediately. The teacher recognizes the ghost catcher, and opens it any way. The Mom allows people she just met to come in her house, take what they want and spend time around her children, and that is just the 1st part.
The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
This is "The Mandalorian" replacement?
This is what you get, when you rush out a show, to replace the far superior Mandalorian, and its great cast, including the talented Gina Carano, because of the overly "woke" backlash. It is just as ridiculous as the reason to produce it, in the first place. It is like the Star Wars kids shows in the 70's.
Messyness (2021)
It wouldn't be bad, with some changes.
1st of all, there should be a lot more videos, less talking. 2nd What is Tori Spelling doing on there? She's nearly 50 years old, with clothes and hair like a 20 year old rap star. Talk about cultural appropriation. I guess that doesn't apply to the rich, wanna be stars. She talks about the most disgusting stuff, and won't shut up. Anything to desperately seem relevant. Her attempt fails hard. Snooky is Snooky. What we have come to expect of her and it's her show. She kinda has to be "messy." I'm not familiar with the guys, but many shows, they speak just enough, and are entertaining.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Where are.........?
In the Matrix trilogy, there are 4 main characters. #1 Neo #2 Morpheus
#3 Trinity and #4 Mr Smith. This movie needed Mr Smith, but no Morpheus?
I whole so big, so deep, they didn't even begin to fill.
The movie is very slow in some areas, especially all the computer coding talk. If you play "The Matrix" drinking game, and take a drink every time they say "The Matrix," not only don't drive, but seek medical attention.
But if Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving were in it, and they edited it better, it would have been a great movie. Instead I give it a meh.
Buddy vs. Duff (2019)
Great Show!
The combination of artistry and engineering that these creations require, and on such a short time limit, is astounding. I love Duff and Buddy and there teams. My only complaint about season 4, is that it was only four episodes. I hope they have a fifth, long season!
Tough as Nails (2020)
A little hokey.
I like the show. But I'd like it more if it weren't over dramatized. Also, I don't really get the host for this show. Where's Mike Rowe when you need him?
I Can See Your Voice: Episode 3: Nicole Scherzinger, DeRay Davis, Russell Peters, Cheryl Hines, Adrienne Houghton (2020)
What happened to Russell Peters?
The show is usually very entertaining. This episode is too, but I didn't even realize that Russell Peters, one of my favorite comedians, was on it, until about half way through. He was cut out of the 1st part, and not seen much in the rest of the show either. What a shame.
Noah (2014)
What story is this?
The story line has nothing to do with the actual Biblical account. Where is the one Godly family left on Earth? Where did the almost 100 years it took to build the ark and gather the animals, go? Where did God go? Even for Hollywood, this is surprisingly inaccurate. This is a violent, CGI adventure film. Even being a different story, it has no redeeming quality. The only things the same are a few names. There are people internationally, completely unfamiliar with the event. That this is their understanding of the story is outrageous. Do not take your children. In fact, don't waste your money at all. The "Ten Commandments" this isn't.
