Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010 Video)

The Tribe was way better
25 August 2015
First off, I don't see how anyone can think this movie is better than the Tribe. I'm probably the only person who will rank this movie as awful and the second one amazing.

First off, plot holes. I didn't quite understand the story and why they mentioned characters pretty much for no reason (Michael, Star). Continuing on, shedding light on Corey Haim's character Sam was a tear jerker but still didn't answer any questions about what happened between Sam and Edgar at the end of The Tribe (If it even continues).

The characters were completely boring and not even memorable. The girl Zoe or Zoey (I don't remember) was just annoying and way to energetic to go hunt this vampire named "DJ X" down. I will give him credit though because he played an okay vampire. The other didn't like and I couldn't recall their names. Once again, I'm more into the vampire aspect of The Lost Boys more so than the Frog Brothers. Jamison did well for Alan but I find Corey Feldman as Edgar just exhausting at this point. I honestly don't like him as a person what so ever so I had to suffer watching him most of the film.

I feel it doesn't compare at all to the first one or the second. If you read my review for the Tribe, I said how there was similarities between the two. This really focuses on the Frog Brothers more so than vampires in general. And the guy playing vampire Peter, I just have no words for him. I honestly preferred DJ over him.

I rather enjoyed this
25 August 2015
This is honestly a movie that I have loved since I've been probably 7 or 8 years old. I seen it around that time so that could be a reason why I give it a good rating. It is just one of those movies that has stuck to me through the years.

The film is about people who log onto Feardotcom.com and end up mysteriously dying 48 hours later. A detective and a woman who studies viruses team up to stop the girl behind the computer as they logged on.

One thing that always gets me is how this movie actually isn't any more popular due to it coming out when computers were getting big. I find the film haunting beautiful since it is shot in a rainy New York scene for all of the movie. The woman portraying the girl on the screen is good at doing a seductive killer who is haunting yet beautiful. I will say the acting is good but Natasha slightly lacks expression. If you know me, I am a big Stephen Dorff fan and this is just another movie he has excelled in.

Love this
25 August 2015
Jennifer's body is one of those movies that you probably will either love or hate. I on the other hand prefer to love this movie.

Jennifer Check is the one girl in school who is drop dead beautiful. She gets mixed up with a band called Low Shoulder and they are Satan worshipers. They offer her soul for fame and fortune but it ends up turning her into a succubus. Her best friend Needy is the one to realize something is wrong and decides to stop her.

Adam Brody who plays Nikolai, the lead singer of Low Shoulder is a great casting choice. Know for being the hilarious Seth in the O.C, he does good at still being comedic yet a dangerous killer. Megan Fox who in real life is drop dead beautiful plays a very good female killer. Amanda S. as well has a great talent.

Never laughed so hard
25 August 2015
This has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It is almost like Easy A but ten times more raunchy.

The movie is about a high school graduate named Brandy who has no experience in sex what so ever. She meets Rusty who she wants to have sex with but wants to build up her cred first. She makes the "To Do List" in which she does different sexual things with any guy who is willing.

It is easily one of the most funny movies I've seen. It's mostly for people who enjoy sexual humor because that is obviously the whole movie. It is also set in the 1990's and it's crazy because it honestly looks and feels like it. The whole cast is awesome and they range in a variety of movies.

I don't understand all the hate...
25 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I'm sure hate would come my way for this review. That being said, I honestly don't understand all the hate for the Second movie.

The Lost Boys is my favorite movie of all time and honestly changed my life(Crazy, I know). So when I found out there was a sequel, I was completely stoked. Watching it, I thought it was awesome enough to compare to the first one. Having Kiefer Sutherland's half brother Angus portray the main vampire Shane was brilliant because I thought he did a amazing job as well as the others playing vampires. Actually, all the cast was great.

There is a lot of comparisons between this one and the original. Take for example, a female vampire dies due to deer antlers just like David in number one. Lots of vampire scenes which is great.

I honestly don't understand what the hate is all about with this movie because I thought it was a good sequel to follow the first one.

True Story (I) (2015)

Great Movie
25 August 2015
It is great to see both Jonah Hill and James Franco in a role that is different from their usual comedic one. They show how talented they are that they can actually take serious roles.

That being said, James did a terrific job playing a man who is accused of murder and possibly murdered his family. He looks as if he is psychotic and has issues inside of his head. Jonah plays a great confused journalist who has no idea what to believe.

This was a movie that kept me on the edge of my toes trying to figure out exactly who, what, when, where and how. The true story of Christian Longo is an interesting one to say the least as he tried to twist the story around to make himself not look as guilty as he was.

Amazing!
4 February 2015
I don't understand why people say this movie is terrible! Being a fan of Stephen Dorff, I saw this movie in the movie store and decided to rent it. It is an amazing movie and I was hooked in the first twenty minutes.

The acting is awesome. Norman Reedus (Prior to the Walking Dead) and Stephen Dorff do an amazing job in their roles. The late Brad Renfro is awesome as well. The other actors are as equal as the others.

For it taking place in the 50s, it honestly does feel like the old times. The fighting scenes are perfect and I wouldn't give this movie anything less than 8 stars.

Here's for a better review
11 July 2014
I actually enjoyed this remake. Here is a review that is about the good stuff, not the bad.

The remake is definitely stays faithful to the short story by King. The original is awesome but hardly follows the SS. This stays true and you will notice the similarities if you have read it.

I think the acting is wonderful. The boy who plays Isaac is creepy and adorable at the same time. I believe Malachai is better this time around than the first. He seems a little more darker and more intimidating. Burt and Vicki player by David and Kandyse do a great job as a couple who are having problems. Their acting is believe able and nothing tacky.

Being a big fan of COTC, I think this should not be looked over. It is way better than some of the sequels.

An okay sequel
11 July 2014
I will at least say this is one of the better sequels that has came out of the series. It is watchable, it was just not my favorite one.

Issac makes his return and the story somewhat focuses on him. I think he could have had a better part in it. 19 years after the first one, he has a child who is supposed to be the main guy but the title goes to Gabriel.

The man who plays Gabriel does a fantastic job of being "He who walks behind the rows". He plays the character well and I think that is one of the better parts of the movie.

It does link back to the first one, Rachel (Who was the one who helped Amos pass on). I just wish things would have been a little different and I think the plot with the recurring characters is just too much.

The Wolf Man (1941)

Watch out for the Wolf Man
25 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
The Wolf Man will always be a classic since it is part of the "Universal Monsters". You could say this is one of the first werewolf movies.

Larry comes home to find himself around people who believe in werewolves. He later attacks one and gets bite, which turns him into a werewolf himself. He battles himself through out the movie.

It can be slow at certain times (To me, most black and white films were slow but I wouldn't judge them for that) The quote "Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright" Is spoken a few times too many. Do not get me wrong, I love that quote but in the first half hour, they say at at last three times.

Prom Night (I) (2008)

I think it's okay
24 June 2014
Donna is a high school student who is attending her senior prom. A obsessed high school teacher has escaped from his asylum who wants her.

I think this movie is okay and I wouldn't rate it a one. Her acting can be a little horrible at times but I find the movie like any other. Johnathon plays a very well serial killer and can look intimidating.

Unfortunately the kills are very basic and very boring. It is nothing new and everyone basically gets killed in the same manner.

If I could change something about this movie it would mostly be the killings. Since it is pg-13, you hardly see him doing the damage, just the aftermath. No gore and little spots of blood here and there.

Amazing vampire flick
22 June 2014
I have always had an obsessed with vampires. This movie I have loved ever since I have been little. If you enjoy vampire movies with a lot of blood and mean vampires(Not ones who sparkle) Then this is for you.

It's about Nick and Sean who meet a mysterious blonde girl. They get sucked into the world of vampires in the middle of the desert.

I think the acting is wonderful. Johnathon does an amazing job as Kit (He pulls off being a vampire, looking sexy and scary and also having that "it" factor to lead the group of vampires). I wouldn't look past this movie at all. It does follow the line of The Lost Boys, John Carpenter's Vampires and Near Dark. This vampires are vicious and vengeful which makes for a good vampire flick.
