Heat (1995)
Good movie
Good movie, well written, interpreted and directed but not to watch more than once.
Druk (2020)
Disappointing
It's a good film but it's definitely not worth an Oscar, I was expecting so much more, it's a good film to watch for fun with a dramatic touch.
De rouille et d'os (2012)
Interesting story
I found the story to be very unexpected,
I really like how I really liked how the theme of bones linked both stories of the 2 characters. My best scene was : Ali with his child in the snow very moving scene.
Paranoid Park (2007)
Incredible sound design
I really liked the work on the sound design in this movie and the directing too, I would have loved a different ending though, Alex going to the police station.
Somewhere (2010)
This film should have been a short movie
A lot of void in this film. This film should have been a short movie. I sensed what the director wanted to show us but some scenes were unnecessarily long.
Best scene: the face modeling scene.
Chun gwong ja sit (1997)
A beautiful story about a destructive relationship.
A beautiful story about a destructive relationship.
Great cinematography, each shot is incredibly beautiful and incarnates emotion.
The movie gets really interesting towards the last 40 mins in my opinion.
Nightcrawler (2014)
Brilliant screenwriting
I really enjoyed this film, the script and the development of the character, and the performance of Jake. The ambiance of the film is so mystic that would make you dive more into the story.
Resasah Taysheh (2010)
Good storyline for a short movie
Towards the ending of the movie, it became interesting. The beginning and the middle seemed stretched out.
Taxi Ballad (2011)
Good atmosphere but poorly done
Bad script writing and dialogue, full of stereotypical responses.
Tenet (2020)
Great idea of film
Great concept, loved it a lot... disliked however the cinematic language used, too hollywoodish.
La vie d'Adèle (2013)
Love the acting in this film
Love the acting in this film, but felt that dome sexual scenes were too much and unnecessary. Clearly depicting a male point of view.
La femme d'à côté (1981)
Acting seemed very poor
The acting seemed poor, the script and the lines the characters say are sometimes too poetic that it creates an artificial and poor actor's performance. The story itself could have been interesting.
Moonlight (2016)
Great cinematography
Great cinematography, and important portrayal of gay black characters in cinema, puts the spotlight on a sphere we are not used to see.
The rhythm of the movie is sometimes slow and the ending could have been less obvious.
Sans soleil (1983)
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen.
This essay/documentary is a masterpiece. It is borderline between fiction and documenting. It has a strong and poetic interpretation of reality.
Thelma & Louise (1991)
Classic commercial movie you gotta see!
Interesting commercial movie depicting a path of self liberation for 2 women from the patriarchal system,(men keeping on intercepting their Paths in a menacing matter)
Great screenplay and great actor performances from Susana Sarandon and Geena Davis.
The Eddy (2020)
Very disappointed from this series
Very disappointed from this series, I was attracted by its jazz ambiance that seemed cool, the first episode was good, intrigued me to continue watching, then the other episodes were inconsistent, poor dialogue writing and the ending anticlimactic.
Irréversible (2002)
My favorite movie of Noe
This movie touches your soul and mess up your mind.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
Disappointing
It started very good and overall the story is good but how the things escalades towards the end of the movie is very fast and not well structured.
Hannibal (2001)
Too commercial
Too commercial... was very disappointed after watching The Silence of the lambs. It lacked authentic emotions from the actors and the director did not succeed in capturing the alarming universe of the first movie.
The Lobster (2015)
Curious film, good weird beginning
Curious film, good weird beginning, .. but it gets weirder and weirder throughout the movie.. a bit frustrating, I was expecting more from the ending
Love (2015)
This film is an interesting journey
This film is an interesting journey... though the writing and acting felt sometimes a bit weak and cheesy and some sexual scenes were long and disturbing.. loved the cinematography.
