Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators: Most Wicked Speed (2022)
Getting worse with every episode
My husband likes this show but even he had a hard time with this episode. The dialogue and acting are over the top. I get that it's supposed to be a comedy, but it's not funny and this seems like an excuse to present unrealistic characters in unrealistic circumstances. And they tragically underutilize Sebastian. I mean, he's the only one who could survive any kind of chase without risking a heart attack. And why no actual romantic story line for him? It's like a live action cartoon. I keep waiting for someone to hit Frank over the head with a frying pan or drop an anvil on him. It's just so cheesy.
Old (2021)
It's a mystery!
The real mystery of Old is the mystery of why anyone gives M Night Shymalan money to make more movies. It's as if he had a start and a finishing (I can't call them a beginning and an end) and then just filled in the rest with random bs with no attempt at logical consistency.
Death on the Nile (2022)
A waste of time
Kenneth Branagh needs to go back to theatre work. This is hideous. The changes in the story are awful. The casting deplorable. Even worse than Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express. Stick with David Suchet. Kenneth Branagh should be ashamed to continue to put out this dreck!
Midnight Mass (2021)
Why not just go to church?
As an atheist, the ongoing preaching is really obnoxious. Add to that the excessive monologues, bad acting and really atrocious old age makeup results in something practically
unwatchable.
Longmire: Goodbye Is Always Implied (2017)
So disappointing
Really disappointed with the finale of Longmire. Lazy writing, unrealistic behavior, stupid plot twists. I found myself yelling at the TV. Everything is "wrapped up". And why did Vic start dropping her g's in the last two episodes? Runnin', waiting', stayin'? She's from Philadelphia!
The Center (2015)
Truly tedious
I'm pretty sure the other reviewers of this film are friends of the director. This film is exceptionally tedious. The actors lack energy and charisma and the writing is clunky. If you're interested in cults check out The Invitation or Hulu's The Path or even I Am Not Your Guru (really creepy!).
