The Father

Always appreciate seeing the "father" side of a rough, tough cowboy. A real man spends time with his family, cares for his family. And that's John Dutton - the fighting man who melts when his little girl hurts.

Also, I'm glad to see Beth's positive changes as she deals with her past trauma. Rip is another real man - tough when he needs to be & so tender and loving with his woman.

Good to see the characters in the bunk house, too. A fun, hard-working bunch, each with their own vibrant personality. A great bunch of actors & each a master at his own role. I'm excited to see the stories continue in the next episodes!

Chicago Fire: Virgin Skin (2014) Season 2, Episode 14

NEVER take sides against the family. NEVER cheat.

I am very disappointed that this episode excuses cheating and family disloyalty. It doesn't matter what anyone else does - you do what is right. If someone doesn't think a woman can be a firefighter, you keep trying until you can pass the test, and until you can pass it truthfully. You being a cheater is just as bad as someone else being a idiot. And if that idiot is your father, you never ever disrespect him in public.

Whoever wrote this script should be ashamed. This is not firefighter spirit, nor is it moral or respectful. Worst episode yet.

The Leftovers (2014–2017)

The First Season is the Best

I enjoyed the first season - shocking and mysterious. The families and the characters were well put together.

But the second and third became very confusing for me - it seemed to me that they had scenes they wanted to film, and then tried to connect them all somehow. I would often start another episode and think "Did I miss an episode in between?" The final episode was bittersweet. Although, it did seem to leave me with the aftertaste of "is that it?" I prefer movies/TV series that end with a positive and hopeful note. Here, I would have preferred that Nora & Kevin had a fulfilling life together.

A cautionary tale to anyone who wants a real, lasting relationship. You choose if you want a real, lasting relationship with one person. You choose the person you want. This is one reason why you commit to someone & don't sleep with people before you commit. Make your choices wisely.

Physic or not, you should never sleep with someone you barely know on a first date. So stupid.

The characters are fun and it's acute and engaging story.

Unacceptable. Shouting "move it!" to anyone is rude, but to an elder - shame on you. There are so many times that the protagonists in this series act wrongly.

I find it funny how many haters review episodes all the way out in Season 4 - saying how ridiculous it is, saying they'll never watch another episode. ANd somehow, they're back for more.

Is it believable - ehh, not really. But it's a good show, full of good people. And it's what we wish the world could be. So enjoy a break in reality and enter a world that's more focused on helping their neighbor & that lets good win.

I enjoyed this movie so much! The characters are fun and had great chemistry, the music is cheerful and fun, and the story is positive. I really enjoyed watching the characters change as they got to know and understand each other.

I enjoyed the colorful musical scenes, and the characters especially were cute and such fun altogether! This series is meant for teens, though - I often found myself frustrated over the drama and arguments - most could've been resolved if people would simply talk to each about it. But overall, everyone had their ups and down, showed forgiveness to each other, and just were good friends.

STEVE CARELL!! The rest of it is a sweet love story. Politically, marriage and domestic partnership only has a fiscal meaning to the government. This movie focused only on the emotional aspects, and didn't put forth any legal arguments. Of course marriage and love are deep subjects, but they don't belong to the government. That's why we have coworkers (like the police officers in this movie) and family to help and support us.

This is a wonderful show because it's focused on family- politics and current events and other such things are not a part of a loving, forgiving family. The beginning is so awkward and unnecessary. Refocus, and get back to the main thing.
