Excellent Surprise!
2 March 2014
I was skeptical at first but now I'm hooked. I found it completely refreshing to have a female lead series that has a broad sense of humor that isn't gender specific. The show is basically about two women in their twenties living in New York City and the hassle that comes with it. Imagine the HBO series Girls but way funnier and more realistic. The show is carried by the 2 lead characters Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. Their chemistry and comedic timing throughout the series suits them well.I found their friendship with one another completely authentic and truly charming. Although their roles are minor, support actors like Hannibal Buress, John Gemberling, and Chris Gethard help create funny characters for Ilana and Abbi to interact with. The scenarios are hilarious, the dialog is funny and the acting is great. As much as I personally enjoyed the first episode it wasn't until the second episode "Pu$$y Weed" that I became hooked. If you like workaholics or it's always sunny you'll definitely enjoy this. Comedy Central seriously has potential hit on their hands. I seriously recommend watching a few episodes before making your judgment.

An absolute mess of a film.
2 March 2014
Let me begin by saying that I love horror movies, even the cheap ones. I seriously admire low budget films as long as their ambitious and well written. This film on the other hand is none of that. The screenwriters had no clear sense of direction for this film. Its painfully obvious that whatever direction they initially had became tangled with too many ideas from other successful films similar to its genre. This film is basically a hodgepodge of the found footage genre mixed with aliens and the supernatural. Imagine trying to mix Paranormal Activity, the Blair Witch Project, and Signs to form a coherent narrative but failing in every aspect. The characters in this film were poorly written and completely one dimensional. You feel nothing for these characters when trouble started to brew. The suspenseful monuments were weak and the ending was extremely unsatisfying. Let me stress EXTREMELY UNSATISFYING. I truly feel as though I've wasted my life watching this movie. I would really love to know the story behind this film. How could a director mess up a found footage flick this bad. Please do yourself the favor and avoid this film like the plague.

Rubbish
2 March 2014
Sigh, when Marvel first announced that director Shane Black would helm the next Iron Man film, I was genuinely excited. As a huge fan of his previous works; Lethal Weapon, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (which also stared Robert Downey Jr) I figured how could this fail. I was wrong. Not only did this film fail but they some how made a film about Iron Man boring and mundane. As the first phase 2 film in Marvels line up, Iron Man 3 immediately stumbles out the gate. The film is riddled with plot holes, bad writing, and flat humor. The characters are one dimensional, the villains are dull, and there was no sense of threat or urgency. This is an IRON MAN movie!, there are years worth of interesting stories and scenarios that could of been utilized to tell an engaging story. Instead we are given a poorly executed version of the Extremis storyline. There is a twist towards the 2nd act that your either gonna love or hate. Personally, I consider the plot twist a wasted opportunity. Rent this movie if you need to see it, trust me.
