As a fan of the original it was nostalgic to hear the theme song and see the cars while trying to manage my expectations for what would be the same out of respect but new enough to not make me feel like I'd seen it already before. Having said that I think the show accomplishes and balances those two things quite well and enjoy the show for its entertainment value. I hope the show maintains enough viewers to keep if going for several seasons.
