Guessable? (2020)
Absolute garbage...with some potential
John kearns absolutely ruins this show. I mean, Sarah pascoe can disappear too but that can slide. The idea behind the show is great, but the execution is just wrong on so many levels.
Nobody (2021)
Slow to start, with a wonderful finish
As the title says, this film is irritatingly slow to start with, almost to the point where I wanted to stop watching, but I'm glad I didn't. Once it gains some speed, it's very entertaining. If you want a film to just switch off and enjoy the madness, I recommend this film. It's not perfect, but it's very good regardless.
The Office: Finale (2013)
Perfect finales like this are hard to come by lately
I've binged this show recently, and although it's years since the show finished, the feels of this finale are just as raw.
All modern shows should take note of this episode when it comes to finales. This is how it's done.
Thank you to all involved with the office, a wonderful show leaving a lot of good memories
Rick and Morty: The Ricklantis Mixup (2017)
The absolute best episode of the show so far
This isn't a review, it's a flat out fact. The best episode of the show. I'm not going to explain why or how, because you're only reading user reviews to see if they agree with you on how amazing this episode was.
And they do.
Reign Over Me (2007)
Touching, dark, intense
This movie surprised me. It took a while to really connect with the characters portrayed, and at times the movie even felt quite long, but this is mostly down to the intense variation of emotion that's on display. Adam sandler has given a very different performance from his usual wacky comedies, and he certainly delivers. Not to mention Don Cheadle and other supporting actors who add their own emotions to an already emotional movie.
The thing that really surprised me was that even though the movie wasn't the best I've seen, it has stayed with me ever since. The emotion I felt when watching it, I still feel today. It's rare a movie does that to me, and I think a movie really hits home when it can do that. I highly recommend giving this movie a shot, and you'll still be feeling it a week later.
Click (2006)
A pleasantly surprising movie
First off, I know I'm very late in watching this movie, being 2014 and all, but I finally decided to give Click a chance, and I'm glad I did.
Now, it wasn't the most perfect movie of all, not by a long shot, but being perfect isn't the reason I'd given this movie 9 stars. The comedy of this movie is lacking, and in all honesty I barely let out a chuckle. The originality of the movie wasn't as obvious as it could have been. After reading a lot of other reviews, I found that people didn't enjoy the movie so much due to it being a repeat of a number of movies from past years, but that's the day and age we live in. Original ideas are difficult to come by. Every can be compared to other movies. It's how the stories are portrayed, and that's where this movie shines for me.
So this story is the stereotypical workaholic neglects his family and bad things happen because of it. He addition of a remote control that affects his entire universe isn't the best of ideas, but worked with the whole idea of realising the error of his ways and his redemption afterward. The scenes in the move that demanded emotion from the actors really worked well, except for Katie Cassidy, she was far too cold for my liking. The scene in which he rewinds time to see the last time he interacted with his father turned me into an emotional wreck, as well as the scene when he's dying outside of the hospital.
This movie will not be for everyone, and most will probably feel let down. But if you can accept the crappy jokes and the "rip off" story lines, then you will find that this movie is full of emotional, heart breaking moments that most people will over look. Give this movie a chance, it could change how you see the people in your life.
