First of all, I wouldn't call this a review, is more of an impression after just finishing watching the show, being disappointed about it.
I spotted "The Man" after it just started on Prime, read the plot and I was hooked, and so close to hitting play. But, I didn't break my rule, that the TV Series should be finished before I start watching it.
I found out the Series is wrapped up, and I started to watch it. Very captivating in the first season, how it cannot be? Is based on one of the biggest IFs in history.
I'm just gonna come with a PRO/CONS list, it might miss something but whatever.
PRO
CONS
Probably missed a few aspects on both sides, but it is what it is.
Overall, S1 = 10; S2 = 10; S3 = 7; S4 = 5;

PRO
- The fact that they kept so many elements of the real world, places, names, symbols, people, events
- So many good characters, and it seems in every episode if not every scene something else is revealed.
- I particularly like Trade Minister Tagomi, Chief Inspector Kido, Reichsmarshall John Smith, Hawthorne Abensen himself as characters and very good acting as well
- I'm so glad it didn't build into a classic drama - the romance between Juliana - Joe
- I'm sooooo glad it did not become an SF series, the action gravitates to the whole idea of travelling, and parallel universes, but is more important what happens to "our" world.
- Very nice build-up to the last episode
CONS
- A lot of characters and paths are dropped, after just revealing details obviously that happens in a lot of TV Series, but I thought here was done a lot
- From season 3 it seems it had to thick all the boxes, of a "modern series" to please everybody (gay/lesbian couples, black resistance), although most of them unnecessary and simply not needed. But, hey that's the agenda...
- ONE OF THE WORST ENDINGS EVER, I expected to have a lot of questions unanswered after watching this. but why butcher a show like this, it doesn't make sense, you introduce a lot of possible scenarios during season 4, and then what!?
