The Serpent (2021)
BBC, finally at its best....
A chilling true tale about a particularly sick and evil serial killer from the mid 70s.
I'm just not entirely sure if the story is about the incompetence of the local law enforcement or the callous skills of the protagonist. That's not to say I didn't find it gripping because I did.
Definitely worth a watch......I've said to my wife that I'll never eat or drink anything again that's not been prepared by myself! 🤣
Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins (2021)
Just tough talking piffle
I tried to get past the gratuitous and unnecessary swearing (and I'm no prude!) and find a plot and didn't find one. I can see teenagers thinking it's a cool movie but it's just not. Must admit, I'm surprised that Vinnie Jones and Craig Fairbrass even agreed to be in it. It could have been good but misses the mark on every level.
Utter rubbish and a couple of hours of my life wasted. Also paints a terrible picture of Essex!
Just don't bother.
Resident Evil (2022)
It's ok. Form your own opinion...
Just treat it as what it is, the storyline is a little thin but it's ok. Some good techie stuff in it but don't compare it to the RE movies (and even those got stale towards the end!).
Chewing gum for the eyes with some entertainment value. Just watch it and form your own opinion folks.
Unsane (2018)
Hmmm, ok film but.....
Claire Foy with the wrong accent and why this?
Allegedly filmed on an iPhone 7, it's trying to be different for the sake of being different!
Good story, seen better from Soderburgh. Still worth a watch tho, but don't expect too much.
Blue Iguana (2018)
Hey, don't understand the negatives!
It's fun, quirky and full of action! The American influence works really well and the plot is both fast and good fun. Come on! It's a good film that has good acting mixed with a lighthearted yet violent overtone. Ignore the negatives, have an open mind and hey, how often do critics get it wrong? Ten stars all day long!
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Make up your own mind!
Come on....1/10! Yeah, the story is a little confusing and yeah, it may not contain the original purity found within opening films but the visuals and music are amazing! Go and watch on the big screen and you will enjoy this movie, just treat it as a stand-alone event and you'll be fine.... The purists are out for revenge...
Midnight Screenings: 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi/Ride Along 2 (2016)
Great film!
Anybody that enjoys a good dust up will love this. Based on real events, it's hard to believe it actually happened. Good casting, great locations and action that builds up to a truly massive fire fight.
