For All Mankind: Glasnost (2023)
So glad we're back, but what's up with Ed's weird coif?
Stoked season 4 is here! Superfan of the show, to say the least. More alternative history to keep up with the show's theme (some odd but still cool)! Love how Happy Valley has grown and how real social class issues have replaced the previous pioneers goals and original visions. Was only a matter of time.
The thing I'm wondering, however minuscule it is in the grand scheme of the show, is the ridiculous "old" Howard Hughes hairstyle they have for our man, Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman)!?
Let me affirm, I'm a fan of Joel and his work. He's a good looking dude. Although I imagine Ed is now in his early to mid 60s, I feel as though they could've styled his hair a bit better and clean cut. Yes, give him plenty of grey but damn! Why the hobo hair...lol!
Of course no impact on this amazing show overall but just an observation. They need to get a good barber to Mars, stat!
Superman & Lois: 30 Days and 30 Nights (2022)
Send Nat back or chill her out!
One reviewer said Sarah is insufferable but she ain't got nothing on Nat!
And no...it has nothing to do with race but everything to do with the worst attitude I've had the misfortune of having to endure while watching a show that I enjoy. Enough already!
I mean, I get it, her mother (alt Lois) died a year ago but she's pretty much always rude and rarely ever positive. She has disrespected Lois, Clark (Superman), Sarah and to even her own father, just to name a few.
Either she needs to seriously tone down the tired, rude teen angst persona or repair her little ship, get in it and return to where she came from!
Other than that, very good episode!
Andor: Reckoning (2022)
Andor is better than I previously imagined!
I think we got us a bona fide hit here folks!
I wasn't sure how I'd react to this new series after recently seeing the official trailer but decided to check it out, being a SW fan and all.
I literally just finished watching all three available episodes (1, 2 and 3) in one sitting and was pretty blown away to say the least!
It's got everything going for it (story, script, great acting, interesting characters, cinematography, sound, visual effects, etc.). I'm stoked to see how it plays out over the next 3 episodes.
I'm not saying it's better than The Mandalorian at this point but I think as the story progresses, it's poised to give it a run for it's money which is fine by me!
Cassian Andor's origin story and his path to the great rebellion...I should've known it would end up being epic. It definitely is!!
Star Trek: Voyager: Demon (1998)
Great plot to expand upon!
I liked this plot although it was a bit rushed in the end. This is understandable, given there is only so much time to present a single episode plot. The overall message was intriguing however.
It would have been interesting to see it play out further. Perhaps with a 100 year time jump forward in the final minute of the episode to see how the copies had advanced their new society! Were they living primitively...did they developed advanced technology (cities, space travel, etc.)...did they reproduce sexually or make more copies (clones)?
All in all, I found this to be a very interesting story line. I'm looking forward to more imaginative scenarios like this one and fewer killer species that are hell bent on destroying our crew!
