Great first show! It's good to see the currently popular "hi1ler hair style" from the 1930's has made it into the future, also the clothing design is still 2000's politically correct as well.

Good form to include alcohol consumption, as always.

I can't wait to see who will play the gay and interracial couples!

Movie with the same old dialogue, rinse and repeat.

Well, it's the old cliche where the hero that saves the entire Galaxy and gets demoted because he crashed a police car doing it. Littered with all so popular narcissistic inbred hillbillies in charge.

Act one: A guy gets terminated for negligence loses his house etc. Due to the possibility of a random solar flare, that ended my interest in this film right off the bat.

It just wouldn't be a good judgment day flick if the hero wasn't ignored.

All in all it's a mediocre movie that is slightly entertaining with face palms, lol's and shouting obscenities at your monitor.

Peacemaker (2022– )

A parody on comedy and superheroes.

If you don't get enough fighting bickering and narcissism at home, this shows for you.

Jason and Sophia's agents should be fired and deported. A poorly written, poorly acted, and unwatchable disaster. Someone has a Daddy or Mommy in high places to get this kind of nonsense approved, even the 8 foot basketball player mating with the 4 foot blonde couldn't save this one.

When the bad guys always find the protagonists, no matter where they hide. I control my disdain by reminding myself that DC movies are based on COMICS. They can get away with anything!

Ths movie was exellent entertainment, watched it twice.

Superman & Lois (2021–2024)

Women still depicted as complainers by the writers

Lazy writing using complaining, nagging women to achieve drama, I'm sick of it. Lois nagging Superman? LMAO.

Great action, hope it doesn't turn into melodrama in season 2 like so many other TV shows.

The rest of the production is awesome!

This is a fresh take on morning melodramas. Great comedy based on an all Jewish cast and crew. I love how the bad guys are portrayed as Germans. Many standard melodrama elements but with a twist. Instead of someone blurting out something arrogant and storming out of the room, they simply press a button and turn off the video chat. Each episode has the standard elements of falling in love then breaking up, loving then angry. The sister is a sensitive princess in need of pampering and maintaining a strict level of political correctness. I wanted more episodes! "Save the girl" is a better title.

Acting, lighting, story, cinematography we're all top-notch! Quibi format didn't bother me as I enqued all episodes into my player. Next year, Quibi vids will be available with a 'per episode' fee. Think about it. Pretty smart, right?

Collide (I) (2016)

Just like every show/movie being written these days.

Another one of those movies where they fire 5 thousand rounds at someone 100 feet away but couldn't hit the side of a porta-potty from the inside. Flashbacks by the dozen. Bad-guy monologues and of course "save the girl". Car chases, foot chases, bickering, flashbacks. Women telling Men they're wrong, getting angry, chopping down their confidence, storming out etc., and then apologizing later. Writers are following the politically correct "empowering women" movement, but overcompensating. It's as if all writers are taught by the same professor who follows a playbook that was written decades ago.

This is one of the greats. I hope the powers that be don't hand the writing over to "melodrama interns" like they do so often. We don't need another "General Ho$pital". Hopefully, someday it won't be about financial as much as the craft. I have to admit that Toni Collette is "on my radar" so take that into consideration from my review.

Stargirl (2020–2022)

This is a great show for 8-12 year old girls. 9/10 for that age group. For mature adults, especially males, I would give it a 2/10 entertainment value. Good acting and very politically correct content.

The first few were kinda boring, Ep 3 - 10 were great! Can't wait for 2021. Jeri Ryan is beautiful as ever (110% woman) and "two takes" really knows his way around the directors chair. Editing, lighting, cinematography etc.. were all perfect. Pill is so wonderful in everything she plays, loved her in Newsroom, great talent. I hope to see Armin and Whoopi next year. I watched ep 1 and 2 in Feb and waited till late march to watch the rest, if I had reviewed it in Feb I would have given it a 2-3. Because of Pill in Devs I gave it another chance. I suspect other low ratings are from those who didn't watch the whole season.Started slow but picked up

As far as comic book shows go, I love it. If the Shawshank Redemption had this many holes, it would be a 2. But that's the fun of comics. Watch it! Rate it as a comic.

1917 (2019)

Excellent film for mature viewers.

CONS: The movie starts out with the usual antagonists trying to persuade the protagonist to do the wrong thing for no reason. Then we have the cynics saying the mission can't be accomplished and add the typical fear mongers to complete the storyline.

PROS: Thankfully there weren't any 80 pound supermodels to save multiple times, car chases or gun battles dispensing thousands of rounds trying to kill 3 bad guys from 50 feet away etc.. The cinematography, lighting, sound, directing, sets and editing are stellar. Should have won best picture but as we all know, Oscars have become political. It has adequate character development, original scenes of suspense and obstacles keeping the viewers on edge. I was impressed with the many twists and surprises.

A note about the negative reviews; this film is less entertaining for young viewers looking for constant action (Avengers). I've been around for over 6 decades and I get tired of the same old screenplays getting used over and over. I enjoyed this original film, especially the absence of typical melodramatic/action hero writing.

Transplant (2020–2024)

Great show

This show could be great! First episode is overloaded with antagonists.

A cop desperately trying to arrest the hero and others going way out of their way to cause trouble for the protagonists for no solid reason.

The crew is fantastic acting is great but the writers are lazy and lack imagination. Writers are gaslighting law enforcement and doctors, depicting them as totally arrogant morons.

I still want to follow this show and hope, I can change my rating from 6 to 10.

Update: The more I watch it, the more I like it.

Tommy: In Dreams Begin Responsibilities (2020) Season 1, Episode 1

This show has real potential. The writers deal with important topics, it's a real gem. It doesn't matter what race or sexual orientation the characters are! I'm excited to watch the season and hope it doesn't turn into a total melodrama.

Getting tired of Athena's accusatory attitude.

I used to like this show but Athena is getting so arrogant,, I can't take it any more. It's getting more and more like a daytime melodrama.

Totally centered on empowering black women regardless of how ridiculous the writing is.

I have watched my last show.

A good soap opera

Another soap opera style melodrama with full blown fighting, bickering, yelling, nagging, complaining, jumping to conclusions, cheating, blackmailing, lying, eavesdropping and sabotaging co-workers. The acting, editing, lighting and directing is fantastic! Gina is so hot in this show, love her. Needs more T & A like Shameless. Also needs more clever courtroom battles.

Ok for a lazy Sunday

Total nag-fest! I don't know how nagging wife's can be called comedy, I get that at home. It kept me entertained but I had to fast forward through the nagging.

Great cast, directing, locations and lighting.
