Sounds Delicious with Carnie Wilson (2024)
Better than the Food Network!
This normally wouldn't be my kind of show as I still like to think of myself as kind of an Alt/Metal guy who's heyday was the 90's, but I guess we all get old. OK, I have a secret like for "chick" singers too, but don't tell anyone; blame that on my very young growing up self in the 80's on Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, The Bangel's, etc.
SORRY! Back to Carnie.
Honestly, she's cute, sweet, funny and even a little crass; you know, the kind of girl you want to date.=) She seems to have great chemistry with all her guests and has a blast while making delicious treats with various individuals from the music industry.
It.airs on Tuesday night on AXS TV at 8:30. The only problem is I'm sure a lot of people don't get or have never even heard of AXS. Honestly, it's a much better, modern version of MTV. While they don't show wall to wall videos as in the OG days of MTV, it's still a music-centric channel for the most part.
If you like cooking, if you like music, if you like fun, you'll LOVE the show!
The Birthday Boys (2013)
VERY Funny if you like alt sketch comedy
OK, for the people giving it low scores, this isn't Sat. Night Live (more like SCTV actually). One of the major Producers is Abso Lutely so you have to think along the lines of "Tim and Eric Awesome Show" and "Comedy Bang Bang".
For older references you'd be looking at shows like "Kids in the Hall" or "The Upright Citizens Brigade".
This isn't "mainstream comedy" but it's not as out there as say T&EAS:GJ.
It may not be the greatest thing I've ever seen, but I think people should give it a chance; and Bob Odenkirk is pretty good in most everything he does.
