A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (1988)
Seriously? These "reviewers" are super picky
"This isn't anything like scooby doo I know and love" uh yeah that's a good thing, I don't want scooby doo 1, 2, and 3. The concept for younger versions of the scooby doo gang is genius. Each episode is fun to watch, I wish there were more episodes. When I was a kid growing up in the 90s, I'd get up even earlier to catch this show. I gotta say my favorite part, the gang being chased by the monster and in the process, they're all doing their signature dance sometimes the monster even cuts in. This cartoon was way ahead of its time. I keep hoping they'll resurrect it somehow but at this point in time, it's doubtful. Each character has their own funny personality and just adds to the terrific show. These so called reviewers just watch it with a closed mind out of the gate.
The Duff (2015)
A fun watch.
The story was pretty good and some of the dialogue was witty and funny. Yes, the ending was predictable but it's hard to make a good "teen" movie without being predictable. What really gets me is how they use a character and say she's ugly and fat. She's obviously very attractive and fairly thin. Ok she's not as attractive as her friends but come on. She would easily be an 8 in my school, I actually have a huge crush on her since I watched the perks of being a wallflower. It's just a modern day "she's all that" but it was an entertaining movie.
The Stepfather (2009)
I was entertained
Okay, I'm typing this as I was reading a lot of reviews talking about amber heard in a bikini, who cares? Her boyfriend is a swimming athlete after all, who cares if she's in a bikini throughout the movie. People nit pick about the stupidest things. It was fun to watch and I thought everyone did some pretty great acting especially Dylan Walsh. Yes it was a cliche, "lifetime" movie but it was solid throughout, kept me watching to the end.
Rust Creek (2018)
It was worth a watch
Now I'm just going to say keep an opened mind that it is a movie. The main character is a college student that lands a job interview that she was excited for, so excited that she planned on missing thanksgiving dinner with her family for it. Her plan goes south when she gets lost on the road and the gps wasn't working properly so she stops on the side of the road and spreads a map on the hood of her Jeep. Now the main character (sawyer) does some smart things in the beginning to get away from the 2 harassers but then that's where she falls flat BUT sometimes we do stupid things when we're put into a very stressful situation. Story gets interesting with the town sheriff being crooked and dirty. I just felt bad for Lowell, he was a really good guy although he was a meth cook lol he saved sawyer throughout the movie at the expense of his own life. I guess I expected a better ending, I mean you can assume how it will play out but not much of a closure other than the main character limping on the road while cops are catching up with her in the background but I don't blame her after what she went through. It wasn't bad and definitely worth the watch since I didn't expect much.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Fun to watch, enjoyable but a bit short
Some of these reviewers clearly forgot that it's a movie not real life. If the main cast stayed cooped up their house in wouldn't be much of a movie. I thought it was pretty suspenseful, jumped a few times. The family's friend was pretty good although he was still torn up inside over the loss of his family. I have to agree that the boy does find himself in a bad predicament over exploring the rest of the building they're currently staying at and it just makes him somewhat idiotic and weak but he does redeem himself at the end. I just felt like the movie abruptly ended and they could've just continued but I guess they're trying to milk this for all it's worth. It was still a good watch and feel it deserves a decent rating.
Domestic Disturbance (2001)
I really enjoyed it
Yes, it's very predictable but what can you do when they already show that there was something suspicious about killer in the beginning. I've read reviews about why didn't the kid make a more convincing statment of what he saw, the answer is simple, adults don't listen to children. He was already a troublemaker so he had a bad reputation to lie. I saw a review that mentioned that the kid was a brat? Well duh, isn't that the point? He was a troubled kid. Anyway, It was definitely worth a watch.
