Lupin (2021)
Season 4 is a must
Hello @Nettlix!!! Cmon, It's January 2024, why don't we have the official news of season 4? It ended on a cliffhanger so we have to get it, the ratings are good, well deserved, the actors are ben better (pun intended), so don't see any reason why it won't get renewed. Amazing ideas, loved it, makes me wanna read the books!! So I'd be able to compare the two.
If you liked season 1, season 3 is the best one so far. Season 2 was kinda meh, forgot everything that's happened there as it didnt habe that much action.
Love it, and again netflix don't make the same mistake you've made with other tv series you've cancelled.
Squid Game: The Challenge (2023)
Mr Beast did it first!!!
Started watching this, obviously made by Netflix but... don't see the point, why not get Mr Beast to "present" this? It's about time Netflix recognises how powerful, popular and liked a show like this with him would be. And let's not forget entertainment... Cmon netflix you can do better.
The idea is good, it's just missing a bit implementation.
If it's going to be something they just release instead of season 2(which I do think that's the case)... then meh.
Currently watching episode 1, don't know who these people are. On the real one we were getting "attached" to the actors right from the beginning. Here, some person is talking and you have no idea what's up with them.
Dumb Money (2023)
Goosebumps
I loved it. I had goosebumps the entire movie having lived this whole experience 3 years ago. The actors were so spot on, the almost 2 hours went by so quickly that I didn't want it to end 😭
I wish it was more detailed, like the discord of WSB but I guess for people who weren't aware of this going on this wouldn't make sense, some things weren't explained.
I liked seeing all kind of perspectives - like the nurse who's still holding on as well as the college students!!! But the real MVP is still Keith, he should be proud as if it weren't for him this masterpiece wouldn't have unfolded 😎
Eat the rich!!
The Idol (2023)
Definitely not what I expected
So this is my review after 2 episodes: reality show. It feels like I'm watching the Kardashians when all these managers/labels/employees of the said idol are talking about Jocelyn and hiding things from her.
What I expected? Gossip Girl taken to another level (pop star level), guess my expectations were just too high.
The dialogue is actually what really bothers me because it feels like a 7 year old wrote them... It's the same dialogue I was making up when I was young playing with my dolls or playing pretend with my friends.
Another feeling I'm getting from watching this is sketches from youtube/tiktok. Poor ones at that.
I hope this doesn't get renewed for another season... I'm just not getting a good vibe from it.
Mr. Harrigan's Phone (2022)
So much potential
Here without reading the book sadly, ashamed because who knows, maybe I'm wrong in what I'm about to say.
So as an avid IMDb user I add the movie to my watchlist to rate it only after I watch it, I make sure it's added before pressing play and couldn't notice the "low" rating. In the middle of the movie I don't understand this rating, I was positive I was going to give it a ten. Maybe it's deeper than just a "ghost" story and I missed the meaning but then why only 6.1?
This story had so much more potential, like Craig actually going into the film industry and him using Mr. Harrington to "defeat" his enemies, so we could see him succeed. Or him using it for different reasons, but no. Maybe this is also due to it only being a short story, but then again, maybe even that short story had more potential.
Overall, I enjoyed it but I was just hoping for more. I didn't want it to end just yet.
I Am Georgina (2022)
Vacation every day??? Entire life is a vacation
She keeps saying she can't wait for vacation, umm, your entire life is a vacation. You don't do anything, you don't even take care of your kids. You leave them for a shooting/match/shopping trip with your friends who mostly seem like your assistants, they just agree to whatever she's saying. She doesn't know English, you can tell this from the scene of Ali K designing her dress, I'm pretty sure for him it was a nuisance working with her. I'd have been more interested in seeing her taking classes, learning smth with her kids instead of her going on a shopping spree whilst the sitter takes care of them
She calls "friends" every single person who is helping her - that's not the definition of friendship (e.g. The interior designer, the jewel designer).
Yeah she's pretty but has no personality acts like she's a big thing but if it weren't for Ronaldo she'd be nothing, not even fit for a "model".
I wonder why it needed a season 2? More time wasted.
Aftersun (2022)
Waste of time
I really had 0 hope for this movie and understandingly so. Around 1h or so I was intrigued and was waiting for something to happen... nothing. It's nothing special because whilst you could imagine a different ending or narrative it's not that deep. It's clear as day that he was going to do that because of the dream Sophie kept having the entire movie (annoying really and not placed correctly if I do say so myself). I don't understand the ratings nor the high rates reviews and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one, hopefully the rating will change soon because it definitely isn't worth 7.7!
I did like the actors though (that's why it's not 1)
Control Z (2020)
I'd watch it again rn
I loved it. No complaints, nothing. Perfection. Admittedly I'd have liked if it was more popular so there'll be more theories cause I'm going crazy with this ending, but I guess in time perhaps...
It's definitely worth watching this!
tick, tick...BOOM! (2021)
I got a headache watching it
Great story but so poorly executed and I'm not sure the actors were chosen right... don't get me wrong, big Andrew Garfield fan right here, but he reminds me of that dude from Pitch Perfect in this movie. I felt neutral watching this, it didn't spark any kind of feelings in me...
Dawson's Creek (1998)
Change in script/directors in season 6?
This started as a teenage love story which I'm sure we were all waiting to happen and ended so badly.
I loved it until season 6, everything was so fast paced and the episodes weren't even making sense anymore. I remember when the first couple of seasons ended and the first episode of the new seasons was continuing the story, wasn't the gist for the last season though. It didn't make any sense!
* SPOILER ALERT *
It's not like I wanted Joey to end up with Dawson, but with Pacey? No way. And how did it even happen? One minute Dawson and Joey were saying I love yous, next thing you know she's kissing Pacey, I don't think so.
It's such a shame because truth be told when I first started watching it I was gonna give it a 10/10, that was until the disaster season 6 was. The episode with the grocery store? No sense whatsoever, why were they even at a wedding, whose wedding to begin with? And what happened to Emma? Audrey? Really? One minute they're all in Boston/Capeside, next they're in Paris or god knows where, separated. Also no Andie, it cant be a real ending without all of the people we've grown attached to. Don't even get my started on Jen's death, so awkward, her mother didn't even come? WTF. If someone who hasn't started watching this reads this, trust me, you're better off.
