Really dumb, unrealistic
24 April 2023
Don't waste your money. This is a really dumb, unrealistic movie. For a professional pilots' review, please see YouTube 74 Gear "MD80 Pilot Terrible Decision to Land in Ocean": It is Hollywood hype for exploitation purposes. It starts off on a totally made-up scenario. The movie should have hired a consultant (or get their money back, if they did) to provide reasonably believable pilot jargon and behavior.

I only wish that I had seen such a movie back in the sixties while in a driven theater with my high school sweetheart. It might have allowed me some other more enjoyable pursuit. Or, perhaps my juvenile mind would have enjoyed the movie.

Talk about BS!
4 January 2022
This is such an exploitive, dishonest, impossible film that I am ashamed of wasting my time on it. But I feel cheated. A child might feel some excitement from all the action scenes but no parent should let their children be exposed to this crap. Gratuitous violence is the least of it. Physically impossible events put a lie to scientific fact that can warp reality. But it is not presented as a fantasy or "what if" joy ride but as events occurring in a real world. A total waste of time at the very least.

Brian Cox deserves Oscar
21 January 2021
I have seen Brian Cox in many movies. He always does outstanding work. This movie revealed an man that should get an Oscar in this very simple scripted, budget movie. Perhaps if they had given the movie a title different from a dozen other crap movies it would have rated greater accolade. That's a shame. This movie has character, even it it is only one.

Topical, yet historical
14 February 2020
In our current society in which populism and isolationism are so apparently popular, it is interesting and educational to see some of its risks. This movie subtly plays with the interplay of color and black&white as it does with the value of truth and lies. It plays with your attention as well as it plays with your emotions. If you can't feel this movie, you are beyond feeling. If so, I pity you and, if your attitude is commonly felt, I fear for our future.

Timeless, I wish
26 January 2019
The film was shot in 15 days. It felt like it took that long to watch it. The character development had potential, but it was a paradise lost. The New York setting could have been utilyzed to it's benefit, but it was nowhere to be found. I kept hanging on for some plot development. It went down like a leak in an ignored tire... very slowly. I've rated movies this poorly due to gratuitous sex. That would have improved this loser.

Lose a bet?
3 July 2018
Scarlet, how could you? Did you lose a bet? This is the worst movie that you have been in since you were 10 years old. Perhaps you did it out of friendship to the other actors? Bad, bad, bad! Please don't do this again. Please!

too much
21 January 2018
It's another Hollywood movie about the blessed crowd. Too talented, too rich, too burdened with too much. A trauma and resolution after too much sex, too much booze, too much of drugs. A masturbatory achievement dream for the rest of us to admire. To bad.
