Zone blanche: A Wolf's Dream (2017)
The Photo
I watch tons of criminal series. 90% got a crappy story with a lot of plotholes. But I see them for the character portraits and the scenes. This got a beautiful enviroment and decent acting.
This early I don´t know the characters, but I get interested. That´s a good start. I hope its grows character-wise. The scenery is thou enough to watch it.
What catch me the most is the scenes in the forest and the feeling that I am there. I am from Sweden and love the outdoors. I love when it´s on telly to. IF it´s good. Rain. Lightning, clip. Good.
The narrative is also intruiging. Not excellent, but good enough!
Fear the Walking Dead: Red Dirt (2017)
What you have to sacrifice to survive
This episode depend some of the main characters. I do not miss Travis, but his absence do impact on the lives of those surviving.
This episode made Jeremiah Otto more real. Kim Dickens as Madison Clark was brilliant as usual.
Troy. He want to do the best he can. For his family. Whatever its cost.
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
"Great feeling", OK to great actors. I wait for each episode
Kim Dickens and Frank Dillane are excellent. Cliff Curtis is doing a good job and the rest is really OK in their acting skill.
I got tired of walking dead time to time. But kept looking. With Fear the Walking Dead I do not have to force me to watch it. I wait for each episode. It's not perfect. The script is a bit "not proofread" time to time. Some turns a bit to obvious. But I like it enough to keep looking.
I don't think it will be much better. If the TV-series had "10"- qualities it should had showed already.
I like to see what the writers think happened before walking dead. I like to see the characters evolve through extreme pressure.
Mayday (2013)
Episode 1
I was astonished by the reviews here. I love all the small stories that are painted up. Families, couples and individuals. The acting is great with some exemptions. I have just watched episode 1 and I like it.
There are parts that smells excellence, but some errors in the script make good scenes turn out to be stupid. I think that the first episode would have earned in a extra round of external reading. "Does this work?" "Does this make sense?"
The photo is good. The actors are good. The script is some times good some times awful. Good work on the details. Several of the characters are believable. But I can stand some errors. I can. I wonder where this will lead to. Where to go after episode 1?
